About
Meander and Mooch offers an eclectic mix of silver jewellery, hand made ceramics, bronze, glass and original art. We are not a conventional art gallery, no uninspiring white walls for us, just plenty of theatre, character and a welcoming atmosphere.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem just the other day when I was visiting a friend in Newark and wow, am I glad I did!?
It is situated in a beautiful higgildy, piggildy building over 2 floors next to a florist and is a little off the beaten track on Cartergate but well worth a mooch (excuse the pun). Every single item on display here has clearly been hand-picked by the owner (a lovely woman who lives locally and clearly knows her stuff) and is sensational in its own right.
I have worked in art galleries over the years, visited many worldwide and never have I seen such an eclectic mix of hand-made, interesting pieces, including the couple i picked up as late Christmas presents to myself. (Ahem, sorry not sorry).
Well worth a look if you're in the area, and if you're not (like me) then you really must travel; parking is cheap locally and Newark is a beautiful place in itself.
My understanding is that Meander & Mooch is new to Newark and I wish it every success.
