Went to see Avatar 2 with my teenage daughters. Truly enjoyed it. Read the reviews before booking to decide whether to go to Lincoln or Newark (Lincoln is closer) and decided to go to Newark Odeon. Saved around £2 per ticket and a few pounds for parking too. People who reviewed this cinema, complained about the seats, the temperature, sound etc but actually everything was great! Will definitely choose Newark Odeon again.

Unhelpful staff too many ads 30 mins rip off shop profiteering £3.49p for a bag of chocolate buttons £1 elswhere

Forget the expensive council parking, walk 400yds.to asda and park in their car park £2 for 3hrs.Go in the store to buy goodies for the cinema and get a refund on your car park ticket. Stroll back over to the cinema enjoy the film at no extra cost for parking.

Over priced cinema, charging £12 a ticket for poor quality, small screens! Not sure how they can charge this when the Odeon in Loughborough charge about £5 a ticket and they are the same company? Don't go here, go to the showcase instead - leather recliners, bigger screens and £4 less! Customer services also not great!

I understand this is only a small cinema and that’s ok, my issue is the extortionate price they charge, £11 to watch a film on a tiny screen with very poor picture quality and extremely uncomfortable seats that are crammed in to the point that the person behinds breathing was extremely distracting. Throughout the film a member of staff kept walking up and down the aisle which is very distracting.
And my final complaint why the hell do they charge an extra premium depending on watch film you watch?

I had been given a bad seat the cushion was not attached to the frame so i spent 3 hours trying to enjoy avengers endgame but instead spent all night shuffling my seat cushion back on the seat and for thus privilege they had the cheek to charge me £13 this is not the first time ive had seat problems at odeon in newark and i complained every time and yes been fobbed of everytime

The seats provided at this cinema have to be the worst we have ever experienced.
Only half an hour into the film we were having to move as they were so uncomfortable.
It may be good value compared to other Cinemas but you get what you pay for......

We went to see "The Favourite" on the 2nd Saturday. It was the first time we visited and we were very disappointed. Too expensive. Costly parking. Uncomfortable seats. Sound too loud. Worst of all - the cinema was not warm enough ! There weren't many people in but most were still wearing their outdoor coats - who expects to do that in a cinema after paying over £10 for the ticket ?? TURN THE HEATING UP !! Some cinemas do a money-back deal on public parking. How about it ? I will not be returning based on this experience.

I've recently moved to the area and Odeon in Newark is fairly local. I've enjoyed going to my previous local Odeon which was in a bigger town with free parking so I wasn't very happy with forking out £4.50 for parking (gives you 3-4hrs - get there after 6pm to enjoy parking for just £1). We were in Screen 2 which was quite a small screen. I don't know when the cinema was built but my biggest gripe is with the old seating. If you're going to sit there for 2+ hrs you have to be comfortable and the seats were the most uncomfortable I and my teenage daughter can remember sitting in. It had seen better days many moons ago. I actually moved to another seat which ever so slightly less uncomfortable/broken but I struggled through the whole film to get comfy. It wasn't very clean either inside the auditorium. If you are going charge premium prices plus extra for 'blockbusters' (guess what - all the films were 'blockbusters'!) then the experience should match. Time to upgrade your wornout grotty seating Odeon in Newark. You just lost a customer.

The biggest gripe I have -is the cost. We are seniors - £8.50. Then they add on £2 for being `a blockbuster` -£10.50. In total £21 -Yet Showcase, Nottingham -£8 seniors and NO add ons. A saving of £5 -and no car park charge either. A family of 2A +2ch £30 -but the add ons another £8. Sometimes I`ve been there on a Sunday evening with only two of us in the cinema - at this rate there`ll be nobody !! The venue and staff ok by the way.
