- Gillwh60Doncaster, United Kingdom21 contributionsVisited as a long overdue, special treat for myself & 2 friends. Eden Hall is a beautiful setting, peaceful and quiet with fabulous features. The spa is wonderful, everything is high spec, sparkling clean and easy to navigate. The prices very much reflect this (spa day was £140 each with lunch included), but didn’t quite pull up to meeting expectations; coffee at £5 was not hot & delays to orders in the conservatory cafe with no real apology being given were disappointing. Tap water only was included with lunch and house wine was the cheapest at £35.50 a bottle which caused a little intake of breath! We were lucky to have a mild sunny day so the outdoor pool area was busy and although there was a sign saying loungers couldn’t be reserved by towels, there were none without towels on them. The indoor pool included two jacuzzi sections “which activated at regular intervals” according to signage but we sat in both for 15 minutes and neither came on; we were giggling about this seeing several people like us moving from one area to the other with no luck! My friend almost lost a £300 pair of glasses having hung her robe up on the changing room near our lockers while she dried her hair, coming back to pack her bag to find the hooks had been cleared of guests robes- luckily the staff managed to rummage through their laundry bin and found them! Check out was a little frantic having to scan each wristband individually, I had already checked us all out & paid our extras but my friends were called over as they left their wristbands & we had to wait in the busy reception (new guests were checking in for twilight sessions), while the staff seemingly made sure we weren’t doing a runner……..a little embarrassing & unnecessary to say the least! Would we go again, probably yes but now we know what to expect we will complain on the day if we don’t feel the experience meets the cost, rather than coming away feeling we had paid for something that didn’t meet our expectations.Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with me. I am sorry to read that there were a few flaws with your experience, we have Duty Managers on site all day who would have been happy to chat with you about this. I am pleased that you intend to come back to Eden and do hope we meet expectations on your return visit. - Mark CWragby, United Kingdom10 contributionsWe booked the evening, or twilight, package in order to give our teenage girls their first experience of a spa. This is a great idea because you get to experience all the areas of the spa at a reduced price. Eden Hall is beautiful, and even more so at night with thinking lights and a wonderful fire pit area. The food was wonderful too - tasty and plentiful. If you're on the evening package get in early though or you'll be using up your 3 hours waiting for a table.Thank you for taking the time to share your twilight experience with me. I have noted your comments and will forward these to our Restaurant Manager for review. - Sidora66Oxfordshire, United Kingdom85 contributionsThe huge outdoor pool was delightfully hot and had those little 'nests' for couples to receive pummelling through bubbles. One was not really able to swim in there during the evening hours, as it was quite full, which was a shame. I am tall, and I know I would have touched others if I had swum. There wasn't enough time for the thermal part, so we did not use it and can't say how it is. The sauna was spacious and felt very hot. As a German I really don't get how people are allowed to sit in their own sweat (in their costumes) without a towel underneath them to protect the space for others. It's actually disgusting. But it obviously doesn't matter to the people using this facility. For UK standards, this spa was certainly outstanding. It's beautifully set up in a beautiful place and building, and if one has the budget for it, one can have a wonderful, relaxing time there. We did not go for treatments because they were too expensive for us. We felt this place is for those with a lot of money. There were no clocks around, so we were never able to see what time it was, which we needed to know because of the evening session's time constraint of 3 hours. They flew by and we had a good relaxation in the outdoor pool and the sauna. And the light dinner was very delicious - we had the yellow Thai curry. For extras, like a starter or a pudding, as well as for the drinks we had to pay. So, in the end we paid £175 for 3 hours as a couple. We find that too much. In very amazing German spas you pay 35 Euros for a 12-hour day in a spa that the British can only dream of. So, that's what we're going to do again in the future.Thank you for taking the time to share feedback on your day at Eden Hall Spa with me. Our Duty Managers are available throughout the day to assist with any concerns that you may have and I hope you were able to speak with them. - Mandy T1 contributionWe had a lovely relaxing day a nice family get together just what we all needed. The food was excellent and delicious this was a good idea from our granddaughter Leah. On our way out we discovered we had a flat tyre roadside service said because of weather conditions we would have had to wait hours but hey The chef was walking by in the distance we asked if he could help us, he literally just got on with it in record time and put the spare tyre on for us even though it was raining. So we would like a big shout out to him not only did he produces good food but also helped us out without hesitation thankyou so much Micheal. We would definitely go again.Thank you for sharing your lovely relaxing day with me. I will pass on your thanks and feedback to Michael, I am so pleased he was able to assist you. - LissyStamford, United Kingdom63 contributionsWhat a beautiful place Eden Hall is. Wonderful treatments and very friendly staff. Food was out of this world. The thermal outdoor pool is stunning and a real treat especially in November. The firepit is a must visit with cosy hot water bottles. - I had a facial with Faith. She was so lovely, knowledgeable and the facial was perfect. - I had a pregnancy massage with Maria and again, she was wonderful, knowledgeable and the massage was amazing! Ended up buying some massage oil and it’s allowing me to prologue my experience at Eden Hall from home. Would highly recommend both Faith and Maria - thank you for your attentiveness and professionalism. Couple of things I would like to add that I personally think could be improved to really make this day perfect: 1) everyone arrives at the same time so there’s a huge queue at 9am. This means you don’t end up checking in until about half past. Well my first treatment was at 10 so this was a huge rush. I am pregnant and thought I would be able to visit the food are at 9-9:15 ish but instead, as the check in was so long, I was starving for my treatment so asked the staff if I could just grab some toast. They kindly obliged but that isn’t a great start. The breakfast area was very busy with only a couple of people taking orders. In short this could be resolved by staggered check in times and more staff. 2) the sample products in the post treatment room were all empty. Could have done with attention being paid to fill them up. 3) the water canisters were empty in reception a lot especially at the end of the day. 4) I saw people walking round taking drinks orders but nobody asked if we wanted any. I think this again a case of could have done with more staff. At the fire pit was a QR code… maybe have some more of these around?Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with me. I will ensure we share your feedback with Faith and Maria. Your comments have been noted and passed back to the relevant departments. I do hope that this does not detract from welcoming you again to Eden Hall. - Emma B1 contributionWe would highly recommend Eden Day Spa. The surroundings are beautiful, particularly the outdoor spa garden. All of the staff that we interacted with were polite and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We personally found the lunch menu to be one of the best we’ve had at any of the spa’s we’ve visited with plenty of options whether you want some comfort food or a lighter/healthier option. It is a little pricey for some of the drinks but no more so than any other spa and the quality/service justifies it in our opinion. The gym is on the smaller side but has been really nicely done with enough equipment for a light workout. We have also been to the sister spa, Hoar Cross Hall - personally we find the thermal experiences to be slightly better there with more options and it has the heated water beds/more seating/lounging spaces but the restaurant and conservatory area at Eden Hall are better. It would be nice to have some comfier seating around the main pool, especially as seating is a little limited in other areas. The women’s changing room was vast with plenty of lockers and hairdryers available, unfortunately the mens was very small in comparison with limited space to get ready. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and escape for everything for a day this, or Hoar Cross Hall are both great choices.Thank you for your kind words, Emma. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed our outdoor spa garden and found our staff friendly. Your feedback about the seating and changing rooms is noted. We look forward to welcoming you back.Written March 3, 2025This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited March 2025Traveled as a coupleWritten March 1, 2025
- Jax G1 contributionDelicious food in the 7th Heaven restaurant. Abundance of fresh towels available. Ability to change size of dressing gown at reception should you want that oversized snuggly feeling. If all the facilities are working AND at the correct temperatures then it truly is a luxuriously relaxing day. If they’re not, it can put a dampener on the day that seems to be increasing in price day by day.Your feedback is much appreciated, thank you for taking the time to write to me. - Lisa M7 contributionsEden hall is a stunning location with good spa favourites. Outside Hydro and quiet rooms are superb. However, don't expect a relaxing evening. They book too many people in and it's very noisy with people talking and laughing .... And shouting! Im sure a full day spa would be better, but that's at a huge cost difference. Twilight spas aren't relaxing. There were at least 60 plus people using the 6 sensory rooms . Crowded, limited lockers and constant talking everywhere. Just not a relaxing experiences at all. Ford in the Vinery was exceptional however.Thank you for sharing your Twilight Experience with me at Eden Hall Day Spa. - evie14 contributionsEden Hall is an amazing spa all round! We booked the serenity spa day with added on breakfast so were able to spend the whole day (8am-6pm) using the spa facilities. The breakfast was fabulous and great value for money, couldn’t recommend the treatments enough too. Myself and my mum had Lorna and Safia for our treatments and they were absolutely fantastic. Personally I had Lorna, and she was so chatty to me (which put me at ease) and such a delight to have met and a credit to Eden Hall’s team. Another amazing person we met was Mia who served us at lunch, she accommodated our desert to come after our treatments and was such a lovely person. The facilities were amazing and nothing ever felt too packed, we loved the outside hydrotherapy pool and sauna the most! All of the facilities were spotless and their is clearly a lot of attention to detail that all staff put in to make our day so enjoyable🥰Thank you, Evie, for your glowing review. We're delighted that Lorna, Safia, and Mia made your day special. The attention to detail and cleanliness you mentioned are indeed our priorities. We look forward to your next visit for another serene day at Eden Hall.Written March 3, 2025This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited March 2025Traveled with friendsWritten March 1, 2025
- Monica A24 contributionsThe facilities are very good. Only reason I didn’t give 5* was because I would like the indoor pool to be warmer and I think it could do with another room to rest/snooze with facilities for 2 people to lie down together. Dressing gowns a bit thin when you’re coming out of the outside hot pool (which is amazing). Good etiquette by users and unlike somewhere else we went to recently, no one in bare feet. The food was ok. Not amazing. Staff did not seem to have an understanding of what Crohn’s disease was but they tried to accommodate my needs. Drinks were extra even though we had booked a 3 course lunch, not even one complimentary drink. The little machine that drains your swimwear is just amazing. The massage was not worth £100 in my opinion (£200 for both of us) and no facilities to do a couple massage in the same room. If/when we go again I would not repeat it. We had the back and facial Elemis massage and my husband in particular hated it because his masseuse pulled his hair quite a lot apparently. Mine didn’t but I was not particularly relaxed after. It was ok-ish, not “nice” or “lovely”. Overall a nice experience and we will go back minus the treatment.Thank you very much for sharing your day at Eden Hall Day Spa with me, your feedback is greatly appreciated. I do hope you were able to speak with our Therapy Team and Duty Managers on the day regarding any issues you may have and I hope we are able to welcome you back again. The last visit I had pre-christmas was disappointing as the outdoor spa pool was lukewarm. Within minutes of going in you felt cold. On previous visits it had been lovely and hot.
Prior to this trip both myself and my friend had asked for confirmation the pool would be at the correct temperature. I was sent an email aying it was regular checked and would be 39 degrees.
When we checked in I asked the young girl on reception to confirm the temperature. She said she couldn't contact maintenance but then went to see her manager. The response we got was that 'the pool is the temperature it is' when I asked what that meant she just said the same thing. So basically, it wasn't 39 degrees.
This is a simple thing to check. I work in construction, design and project management. The heating for the pool will be controlled, there should be thermostats in the pool, and on cold days, the heating will basically need turning up earlier and higher before customers arrive.
It would appear Eden Hall is 'value engineering' and trying to reduce utility bills by failing to heat the water correctly. It is beyond patronising to be spoken to staff who clearly have no knowledge or experience of building operations. Ironically, the rest of the building was too hot and felt stuff everywhere from the gym to the restaurant and particularly the changing rooms.
The pool was covered over for 2 hours at lunchtime and therefore unusable.
There were 2 broken running machines in the gym. There was 1 last time we went.
The supply of towels and robes in the changing rooms has disappeared. Again I suspect a value engineering exercise to reduce costs.
And the cafe is slooooww.

We took a twilight spa package on a Wednesday evening. The facilities were good and clean. The evening package seemed oversold as there were a lot of people there, including larger groups (of 6+). The inevitable noise made it hard to relax or find a quiet spot. The 1-course meal was nice, although the service was quite slow and the restaurant was heaving and quite loud.

For the actual visit I can see that the premises are well maintained and the grounds are lovely, all of the changing the facilities are very on par and what I would expect for a venue like this.
I just have to point out that the twilight pack suggests use of the spa from 7pm to 10pm, however on check in the receptionist very bluntly told us that we must be ready to leave for 10pm on top of this we had arrived 10 minutes early and were told we had to wait in the cafe until 7pm until we were summoned had we been allowed to change we wouldn't have been in the spa before 7pm. so all in all at £75 each to use the spa for what is realistically just over 2 hours just does not not seem worth it.
I have been to some lovely spas before and I am all for you get what you pay for but on this occasion did not walk away feeling like it had been the special treat that it was intended to be.

It’s the second time I’ve been to Eden Hall for a spa day and although the facilities are ok, it’s the food and the service that really let this place down and make you question the value of going. It took 30mins just to get some coffees and again later in the afternoon we waited over 20mins for a drink. When you’re paying up to £150 just to go for the day, you don’t want to be sat waiting an overly long time for service. It takes time away from enjoying your day, they really let their guests down here. If the team had some really good service training, that would improve the place massively. The food is also sub-par, a bit like Premier Inn in quality. Sadly, this has been the case on both visits. The interior pool area also needs some love, they had sheets covering work on the ceiling?! Which again, takes away the magic and luxury feeling of escapism, which is the whole reason you pay to go to a spa. If they really honed in on these elements, I feel like they’d see the place go from being just ‘ok’, to amazing, with more drinks purchased, lots of repeat visits and word of mouth recommendations. It’s a shame - it’s a bit frayed around the edges.

Did a twilight with the Mrs and generally was a nice clean facility loads of saunas and steam room to enjoy the evening. Note twilight is only 3 hours and the time flies by in there. I did have some downers:
1. The twilight menu has mains and sides and it needs to clearly identified with a price next to the sides as these are chargeable. Its misleading as we thought it was included when this was not the case.
2. The mens changing room is small and only has 3 showers, compared to the women's who have more than 8. Queuing time is long. Also the changing rooms are so narrow you literally changing in the walk way.
3. Some of the outdoor facilities were not working such as the hydropool water fall. The hydropool was Luke warm and needed to be much hotter esp in winter months. The jacuzzi leading from the main pool outside was also shut. You need to update the website especially during booking so people are aware that some of facilities may not be operating.
Generally happy with eden hall maybe we need to try it in summer months and may be a different experience.

no communication prior to visit about time of eating which was 13.45pm only be me ringing the week before. Had breakfast in vinery-no hash brown as advertised and does not open until 9am but we arrived 8.15am. You can't use cash anywhere. Only one map on wall outside of spa . Need more in venue and outside of each sauna room what it does for you. extra large gowns only from reception. 3 course meal small, you add side ordered to fill you. friend ordered a orange chocolate and shortbread dessert-no chocolate in pudding or breakfast. Messed up at end of day bill of each wrist band this happened in restaurant despite clearly communicating with waitress last thing you want at the end of the day before leaving. spa rooms lovely and outdoor pool except salt room smells of fish. Have a shower but with handwash not body wash. Any at £90 a treatment and £129 for a monday purity day not its not worth it. This was booked 6 months in advance for celebrating our 50th

Spent the Day at Eden Hall to treat myself for my birthday. Unfortunately wasn’t the relaxing indulgent experience I was expecting. Breakfast was really good (I had pre-booked for £12 which included a hot breakfast (or 2 continental items, a juice and hot drink, highly recommend doing this as paying on the day would cost about £20). After this I went down the pool area, the pool temperature isn’t warm enough for this time of year so I didn’t spend much time in there and the pool area itself is so loud. Found it impossible to relax. Similarly with the saunas, constant talking from other guests every single time I went into one. I was here to switch off and not hear about young Toby’s pre-school dramas. I had my treatment at 12pm and I did get the full 60mins (it was the sleepy treatment), again I still didn’t feel I could switch off. I could hear products coming out of drawers, the chair rolling around, the room was also just too bright to switch off unfortunately. I was disappointed with lunch, I’m vegetarian and the options were really basic and I didn’t really enjoy them, also you get no drink included so that’s another dampener - drinks prices are very expensive too. Spent some time in the slumber room and again, it was noisy for what it should have been. Couple of women whispering the whole time I was in there. This room is also next to washing room? As I could hear the washing machine or tumble dryer going through it’s cycle, chairs etc being dragged, general weird noises. Overall there are tweaks that need to be made in the cleanliness too, mould in the bathrooms on the windows, showers in the changing rooms really dirty and unkept. For a luxury spa it didn’t feel very luxurious and I didn’t leave relaxed. Maybe I expected too much but paying close to £200 for the day I was left disappointed and I wouldn’t return.

Just returning home from a fabulous spa day with friends at Eden Hall! The new outdoor hydrotherapy pool and spa garden is definitely the jewel in the crown of this fantastic spa. The pool temperature is lovely, lots of space to enjoy it’s facilities such as the waterfall style massage jets and the water air loungers. There is lots of seating available in the outdoor area including a fire pit area and the spa garden cafe.
The thermal suite has a variety of different heat and cooling experiences including saunas and steam rooms with various themes and scents and temperatures and hot and cold shower and body jet experiences. Despite it being a Saturday none of the facilities were overcrowded and you were able to access any of the facilities you wanted. The indoor pool includes a swim outside element and the outdoor hot tubs were warm and inviting.
Lunch was included in the lovely spa restaurant upstairs with 3 courses included in the price of the spa day although if you want any drinks (alcoholic or not) they are an additional cost. I had a 60 min full body massage also included in the price of the spa day and I was made to feel very relaxed and refreshed by my fabulous masseuse, Hayley. After my massage I spent time in the snooze room which had large beds and loungers and sleep pods, low lights and soothing music, the perfect place to relax and unwind after enjoying the other delights of the spa experience. The day rounded off in the beautiful spa conservatory drinking coffees and snacks (the potato slaps are tight recommended, delicious, chunky, fresh cut crisps served with sour cream and salsa) before getting ready to leave which was a pleasurable experience thanks to the lovely, clean changing facilities with lovely quality products in the shower and a fully functional vanity room for reviving hair and make up! All in all a fantastic experience and I would definitely be happy to return!

We arrived this Saturday. Very much looking forward to the new outdoor area we were very disappointed that people held lounges for an hour and half with bags on restricting the use of them. I did tell management but certain bags were never removed, they turned up 2 1/2 hours later to use the beds which is very frustrating as Saturday was 27 degrees and busy outside. We went for lunch we’d booked and received 3 glasses of Prosecco for the 2 special occasions I was given a glass but husband and daughter sat without one which was uncomfortable and awkward, I was sat in a red hot room, I was next to the radiator so I checked due to dripping wet if it was on only to feel it was red hot. I asked straight away if they could turn the heating off as I was so uncomfortable and the only reply I got was no sorry it’s broken. No offer to move tables and it wasn’t busy at all. Starters came out and were inedible, dry and burnt, we couldn’t eat them and neither could the table next to us, mains came out the same. The table next to us said something and had all the meal’s replaced and Prosecco given. We said something and nothing given, we got up and walked out hungry. We agreed on an ice cream to eat so went to get one, we told the gentleman and he said he’d come back and severe us, 15 minutes went by and he never came back. We went downstairs and later on decided to have an iced coffee only to be told the ice machine was broken so couldn’t. We paid nearly £700 with extras for my birthday and our anniversary and to say I was disappointed is an understatement as it was ruined and definitely made for a bad atmosphere

I love Eden Hall Spa and have been a few times before, but this time I came with my partner who was in a wheelchair, and the male changing room accessibility was really, really poor. On Eden Hall's website, it advertises itself as being wheelchair accessible and as having wide doors, but this isn't the case. The male changing room doors were absolutely not wheelchair accessible. There are two sets of doors to get through, one is in front of you and then the other is immediately to the right, and both doors open inwardly, which made fitting a wheelchair through and turning it REALLY difficult, and meant that my partner had to really struggle. It was incredibly difficult to enter the door and then turn to the right, when there are two doors in the way. It unfortunately meant that my partner had to stand up and awkwardly manoeuvre himself and the wheelchair inside, resulting in him hurting his knee. On his way into the changing room after checking in, we were both clearly struggling to get the wheelchair through the doors, and no one who worked at Eden Hall offered to help, despite the door being opposite the reception desks.
I was told before arriving that they had disabled changing facilities, but on arrival at reception, was told that they do not have these, which was disappointing.
The rest of the spa accessibility was fine, although some doors could have been wider.
We told reception when checking out that we had a really good time but just to let them know that the male changing room doors were not very wheelchair accessible because of the turn and the fact both doors turn inwards. Whilst the women on reception were friendly, they didn't say anything other than "oh yeah I see what you mean" and "you'll be emailed a survey to complete soon and you can write about it there".
I would go back to Eden Hall, as it is a great spa and has lovely facilities (the new outdoor area is particularly nice), but I think it is important that Eden Hall improve their accessibility to changing rooms for wheelchair users, or at least state on their website that the access to the changing rooms is not completely wheelchair accessible and all doors are not wide, so that other people are warned in advance and can make other arrangements/plans if necessary. I can see a female visitor wrote about the changing room accessibility 2 years ago, so it is disappointing to see that Eden Hall haven't improved accessibility since.

What would be the best day to go, to avoid it being too busy ?
Written April 29, 2023
I have only been on a weekday (Monday and Tuesday). I imagine weekends are busier.

How dies Eden Hall compare to aqua sauna at centre parcs?
Written March 19, 2023
I haven't been to Aqua Sana for years but I am very impressed with Eden Hall, indoor and outdoor pools, treatment rooms. All immaculately clean and staff on hand to help.

Can I add a treatment when I arrive if they are not fully booked?

Can I spend my voucher on items in the shop or beauty products
Written November 13, 2019
I don’t think you can use it in the shop but it would be worthwhile calling them. You can use it for treatments and if you want extra drinks or food

When are you going to improve the standard of food? It used to be so good. Sadly mushy mixed salads, smoked salmon thrown on a plate and the most unappetising and unusual trio tapas I have ever had!
