Commercial temple
Dec 2019 • Family
There's lots of photo opportunities here. However I kind of got the feeling that this temple was made for tourists to take pictures and donate money. There are donation boxes everywhere and statues of all kinds of non-religious subjects ranging from deer to dinosaurs to Doraemon. Don't expect a meditative religious atmosphere but something more akin to a theme park. My children had fun so I won't complain but do be aware before coming so that you can adjust your expectations accordingly.

Extremely Impressive Complex
Oct 2019
This is an ongoing project of construction with important Buddhist structures. Currently, they are finishing a large gold Buddha near the two monks that are side by side. This is well worth a visit and take some time to look around. Look at all the structures including Lady Buddha, elephants and others. No cost to go so it is very well worth your time.

Nice temple with 3 huge statues
Oct 2018
This temple is situeted on the other side of the mountains then Sam roi yot but the drive tpwards it through the magnificent national park with great views is worth it. The 3 different statues of old monks have a nive view over the mountains so it gives nice pictures! Good to spend 1-2 hours

Impressive Temple!
Jan 2017 • Couples
Nice quick trip from Hua Hin or Pranburi! No cost to enter! Recommend going only M-F! Never go on a Thai holiday as when we were there it was standing room only! Nice visit!

Important Local Temple Complex for Buddhists
Dec 2016 • Friends
Be sure to visit the locally-promoted Buddhist temples and wats. There are plenty of signs leading to the temple complex south of Dolphin Bay, heading toward the caves in the National Park -- you can't miss the signs! The large statues of the monks are impressive, but the main Wat houses two mummified (wax?) monks of local significance. There are many tables set up around the covered area, where donations are collected for a new building project. Worth a brief visit if you have motorbikes or a rental car.

Another good tourist styop over
Dec 2015 • Couples
We visited this Wat on Dec 7th. The site now has two statues of monks, and is very
impressive to see. The location is south of Hua Hin about 30 to 45 minutes drive.
It was a nice relaxing area, to get pictures of the area and the statues. There
is small restaurants there for a meal as well, so you do not have to rush your visit.

Impressive statues with impressive views
Sep 2015 • Solo
The family and I stopped here to take a look at the impressive statues, the largest over 18 meters of Somdet Phra Phutthachan (according to the provincial web site). It was a quiet day when I went, and it allowed for a peaceful exploration of the temple, and experience all the views. The large statues all have unobstructed views of the Sam Roi Yot mountains.
