Never been and wanted to go, it is the most beautiful setting with a really nice garden cafe as you enter the grounds. Since 1964 this amazing acerage has taken shape in such beautiful walkways, gardens and the finest selection of NZ native collections.
We went here as a tour group to walk around the Gardens and have lunch. It was a beautiful day and the gardens were wonderful and very well maintained. The walks were beautiful and they had some beautiful birds and even had a white chicken....More
Visited as we’d heard about the tulip festival. I have to say we were a little disappointed - only 1 bed of mass planted tulips which were well past their best. I guess it’s Auckland and not easy to grow tulips but a few more...More
You can see felling standards immediately. This year the tulips were in a bad state. Few and not so attractive. The entry staff was really unwelcoming. More interested in grabbing the money and not guiding the visitors.

As always at this time of year, the tulips & daffodils were in bloom - gorgeous. Ladies in the gift shop/entrance lovely & friendly. Only issue was the cafe - very slow service! One person with me had to wait 49 mins for a sandwich...More
