Great nature place
Aug 2019
It has been a wonderfull place to visit with great nature arround it and inspite of high temperature and humidity it was worthy the effort.

A breathtaking path
Jun 2019 • Couples
Narrow and steep in the beginning, gets easier after the bridge. Packed with small waterfalls, wild flowers, trees and bushes everywhere, leaving us the best impression as beginners in hiking/trekking. Recommendations: visit with a good pair of hiking shoes or boots only in good weather conditions because it is slippery and without protective fence if you get down from Sirrako.

Strenuous but worth the effort
Sep 2018 • Family
The path is beautiful. The uphills are steep and strenuous (so take your time and enjoy the views), even the downhills are long and therefore not easy. (I'm in my 50's and reasonably fit. My teenaged boys had an easier time). But the highlight of this path is definitely the pools at the bottom which although very cold, are absolutely beautiful and worth the effort. We spent a good 45 minutes there and would have spent more had it not been getting late.

Two not to be missed villages.
May 2017 • Couples
These two villages are by far the most interesting in the area. Well preserved almost to the point of being an open air museum. The drive up is not for the faint hearted.

Both villages are the best in the area!
Apr 2017 • Family
If someone finds himself/herself in the area, he/she shouldn't leave without visiting the villages of Sirrako and Kalarrites.

Short scenic walk between picturesque vilages
Aug 2016 • Family
There is magic in walking through the narow stony streets of Kalarites. The small houses with blue shades, lovely sqaures and people smiling at you from tavernas.

We arrived there at noon, and after walking around the village and enjoying its beauty, we were ready to start the hike.
But the skies thought differently. Quickly filling with clouds, it was few minutes before strong rain started.
We took refuge in a small taverna, serving great local food (will search it's name and add). With no menu, it was other Greek tourists who helped us bridge the language gap, and enjoy a wonderful meal.
The sky was clear again, and we started walking to Syrraku. Shortly after, the adjacent mountain appeared in the view, and on it - the beautiful Syrrako. To get there we were to descend to the river and then walk up through the steep slope to the vilage.
Walking up was not easy (we have a 7 year old ), but was worth it. The traditional buildings, the stone roads and the pretty views; the drinks we had just before leaving were all enjoable.
But then it was time to go back. While we were walking, in the middle of the trail, we were caught by a sudden strong rain. Equipped with rain coats, we still hid under rocks for 10 minutes till the rain stopped. All in all this added to a wonderful experience we had on this trail (My 7 year old daughter loved it).

Recoommended, refreshing trail (take rain coats just in case)
