Found the place disappointing. Our tour kept us there for 3 days of bathroom sharing while part of one day would have been sufficient. Only redeeming point is its close to the ARAVA Research facility which is worth a look at.

A little bit away from Jerusalem, tel Tamar is a fabulous site to visit. It has 7 periods of occupation and can trace Jewish history back to at least 1000 once. If you visit Israel and don't go here, you have not seen the history...More
