A half an our drive from Osijek you find this nature reserve. There is a boardwalk you can walk around but you can also take a boatride in to reserve. There is a big boat that goes around the edge of the reserve or you can take a small boat that goes into the reserve. There is a price difference... More

The mouth of the Drava river and Danube, is Croatian national park known as ornithological heaven and fish hatchery. If you explore that area by boat it seems that you are in Everglades, though you can’t expect any alligator here. Instead, there beavers’ dams and flocks of cormorants. Must see!

Been there a couple of times. Last time I cycled through Nature Park Kopacki Rit and it was stunning. If you love a peaceful place and nature, you are at the right place.

I cycled through the park as part of a eurovelo 6 tour. The actual signposted EV6 route does not cut through the park. The trail in the park is on the dike and is 40 km long without any exits shelters or anything. It was a beautiful rode in pouring rain but saw deer many boars and baby boars, and... More

The boardwalk allows you to wander through the wetlands, there is plenty of wildlife to see if you look hard enough, you can hear... More

At early spring there was nothing much to be seen at the park. The nature seemed to be fast asleep. The visitors are pretty much left to explore the park by themselves.

This is a nature park in eastern Croatia in municipalities of Bilje and Kneževi Vinogradi. It is located northwest of the confluence of the Drava and the Danube. It comprises many backwaters and ponds along the Danube. It is one of the most important, largest and most attractive preserved intact wetlands in Europe. A part of Kopački Rit has been... More
