The view of the beach, water and cliff is amazing. Definitely worth a trip. The scooter ride was fine but if you aren’t experienced or don’t want to get a sore bum, hire a car to take you over - it’s a 30-40min ride. We...More

The view from the cliff here is spectacular and you will get some amazing photos. But...... it is very crowded and there are many people lining up to get the standard insta photo. And they don't care how long they hold the queue up. Apart...More

Even though I went to Bali for scuba diving, I had to spend one day visiting the west part of Nusa Penida which I believe is more famous and appealing than the east part. My first stop was the Kelingking beach which I absolutely loved....More

If you are visiting Nusa Penida here is a must. Such stunning views and beautiful beach. However please note it gets very busy here as it is a very "instagramable" location. It is best to get here early to beat the crowds. Also make sure...More

You may get down from the top on your own but again it's a difficult task and will take 2hrs to complete the activity.

You have to go to Sanur Harbour first. There will be a speed boat every morning. And maybe you can buy a package tour or rent a vehicle on Nusa Penida island to explore by yourself. I've got there by my company, so I just... More

Recommendations for a good tour operator for Nusa Penida (1 Reply)
I will be staying in Nusa Lembongan for 3 days in my upcoming trip to Bali, i want to explore Nusa Penida from there for a whole day ( Snorkelling at manta point, Kelingking Beach, Broken beach, Angels billabong, Crystal bay). Please recommend me some good tour operators with whom anyone has done this recently and had a good experience. Also let me know the price for such a tour in a pvt car. Also let me know which tour operators to avoid. Thanks in advance.

Planning Help needed, initial roadblocks (6 Replies)
Hello friends and advisors, We’re two adults and one kid planning to visit Bali in June and have broadly pinned down Ubud, Sanur and Seminyak for about 10 days in June. Is this the right time to visit Bali? How many days should we give to each of these places and what should the preferred sequence be? Sanur/ Seminyak/ Ubud or Ubud/ Seminyak/ Sanur or Seminyak/ Sanur/ Ubud or Ubud/ Sanur/ Seminyak? SHould we aim at villas for all three places or go for a mix of villas and hotels depending...More

Hi Agraider: As both Sanur and Seminyak are beach oriented areas and Ubud is more cultural and non-beach, I would do Ubud in the middle, so you are not just transferring from one beach directly to another. Personally, I would try to be flexible and play it by ear as to how many things you want to do each day. You can often just wake up in the morning and decide what to do. (besides more organized things like a Batur mountain hike. Do make sure your child will be up to it however, it's not...More

Kelingking Beach ONLY - Nusa Penida (11 Replies)
Is it worth spending a half day going to Nusa Penida to see Kelingking Beach? Take the ferry over there, then hire a guide to take us to Kelingking Beach. Or just rent a scooter and go on our own. I read up on the horrible road conditions in Nusa Penida - got it. This sounds fun to me. Also read about how long and difficult it is to hike down to the beach from the cliffs at Kelingking beach. Again - this sounds like a fun adventure. Not interested in spending a night on Nusa...More

Hi. Whereabouts are you leaving from in Bali? Long way to go to see a beach!!! The roads on Penida aren’t great and I think the road to there is particularly bad so wouldn’t suggest doing it yourself. Not sure if you can even swim there, looks beautiful though. We went to Atuh beach and the Cave temple which were both amazing. Perhaps you should try and make a whole day of it and see some other sites as well x
