Took a beautiful walk in the mountains from near Andratx to S'Araco back to Andratx on the GR 221. It took me about 6 hrs with lunch in Andratx. Start and finish at the car park off the road to Estellencs about km mark 109. Well sign posted throughout.

Nice stone and dirt tracks most of the time. Very well marked, never in doubt where to go. Very good refuges with good food, (breakfast and dinner), and friendly staff. Will definitely recommend it.

I've just hiked part of the GR221 in January and I had the benefit of both excellent weather + the low season quiet and low hotel prices. I hiked Valdemossa to Deja (that is not part of the GR but is excellent) then Soller to Lluc by the GR221 (possible in a long way) then Lluc to Pollensa (half day,... More

It must be noted that there are only a few sign posts on the first 20km so a good map is essential. The walk... More
