Nice place to observe koalas

Very nice place to observe koalas and many other animals - especially birds. Funny to see all the people walking around watching to the sky (top of the trees).

people were friendly but we didn't get to see many koalas on the day we went . Only spotted 2 and seen a few kangaroos but mainly just walked around the trails and seen a lot of geese .

This is a wildlife sanctuary ~ that being said there is NO guarantee you are going to see any animals, this is a huge place. The animals are wild, not contained and not kept in cages. If you are there during the day many may be taking a nap ~ remember most of Australia's unusual wildlife is nocturnal. That being... More

The Sanctuary was one of the few places I was told were "must-see" on the island - so you can imagine our disappointment when we saw a total of two koalas - one of which was trying to escape over an electric fence. The swarm of tourists that arrived didn't help much either - although they were quick to come... More

Thank you for visiting in February 2016. February is the hottest and driest month of the year. Australian wildlife is mostly nocturnal. It shelters and rests during the heat of the day especially in February. But even in the middle of a hot February day there are plenty of viewing options. As always it pays to ask. FYI we conducted... More

A lovely reserve where you can see the Koalas in their "Natural" habitat. Strolling through the gum trees was a very peaceful experience.

This refuge is nicely situated just outside of Flinders Chase NP. It is a great way to see koala's because they mark the trees where they are in. Nice walks her too.

This is definitely the place to see koalas in their own habitat in the trees! Walking along the tree lines area, looking up and seeing the koala is truly amazing and so much fun (just remember to look down and move your head around occasionally or you'll get a krink in your neck!). There are numerous koala here - not... More

Lovely time spent walking around playing spot the koala. Great seeing so many of them happy and healthy albeit sleeping, high amongst the tree tops.

Spent a few days at the sanctuary, the property is massive and really well maintained, staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Local is easy to access and plenty of parking spaces. facilities are all clean and nice! There is a little cafè/visitor centre with delicious food and coffee, also in the cafè/visitor centre there is a lot of info about... More
