Stunning wildflowers
Sep 2021 • Couples
What a spectacular day we got when visiting this beautiful forest in The Ferguson Valley. We only had eyes for the Marri walk which was 10km of reasonably easy and well marked hike. We were blessed by all the wildflowers out in all their glory. I would recommend that everyone visits this forest in spring to experience what we saw. A truely beautiful bush walk.

Short walk to the man made dam
Jul 2021 • Solo
Before arriving here, I’d forgotten that I’ve visited here before.

There is a short walk to the man made dam, although it’s more of a pond than a dam.

The path is wheelchair and pram friendly, with longer walks available. It’s a nice forest to visit for a couple of hours if you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit here.

10km Marri Trail walk during wildflower season
Sep 2020
I've been here before and wanted to return during wildflower season for a longer walk. It was the end of September, but there were still plenty of wildflowers everywhere, with lots of yellow (e.g. Cowslip Orchids), as well as blue (e.g. Blue Leschenaultias) white, and orange. There was also plenty of water in the waterhole, which was almost dry the previous time I visited.

The short walk allows you to see most of the flowers in the area, but I did the 10km loop, which was quite scenic in places. That wasn't busy at all, and I didn't see anybody else for the entire walk. I did the anti-clockwise direction, which means that the final stretch includes the lookout over the valley.

There are some stretches that are along fire breaks, and alongside paddocks, so it's not all through bush, but the majority certainly is. Walking is fairly straight fowards, with some up and down, but nothing difficult. Signage is very clear, so you really can't go wrong.

It must be a popular spot at this time of the year, being wildflower season and school holidays, and the car park was packed - although part of this seemed to be some seniors outing. It's about half an hour out of Bunbury, but there are plenty of other attractions in the Ferguson Valley to combine this with.

Looking forward to wildflower season!
Jun 2019 • Couples
This place must be amazing during wildflower season! We visited in winter, but were still very impressed. There's ample parking, plus basic toilets, and lots of picnic tables and BBQs, all in a wonderful bush setting. The trails are all well-marked, and there are several different options, including a short walk to a watering hole, and some longer walks such the walk to a lookout with views of the area. There's also several information posters, and even free brochures with maps of all the trails. We'll definitely be back some other time with more of our family for a BBQ and a family walk!

Walk and picnic lunch
Nov 2018 • Couples
Enjoyed the 10km loop walk in the bush, very peaceful.
It was 24 degrees and the walk is not shady in lots of parts, so make sure you have plenty of water.
Had a lovely picnic lunch watching and listening to the birds.
A great spot so close to Bunbury.

Well maintained walk tracks and facilities. Congratulations to the good folk who put the work into getting the forest declared and so well set up to enjoy.Lots of wildflowers on our visit and most are named. Terrific.

Peace and Serenity
Jan 2018 • Family
Why this area has not been promoted more vigorously is beyond me. From a very easy to a moderately challenging walk this has everything. Stop and read the boards with information about the flora and fauna to be found. Listen to the quiet disturbed only by the occasional birds. Test yourself with the more challenging walks but in any case stop and enjoy the views and take a little time to relax. An absolutely enchanting area.

Great spot
Nov 2017 • Friends
A group of 11 of us visited for a barbeque and really enjoyed the bush location and the surrounding walks. The barbeques were spotlessly clean as were the toilets. There are covered tables and bench seats. It's a great place to visit.

Facilities here are superb. Has drop toilets, kept clean. BBQs, picnic tables. Several walking trails with information along the way. V relaxing. The forest around is spectacular. We will return and recommend to others. A credit to the association who look after it.
