Have been snorkeling three days in Sharks Cove in the past week. Great location to see larger schools of fish and interesting topology along the bottom. This afternoon a rather large Black Tip Reef Shark swam close to my wife and I. Definitely got the...More

The best thing about this beautiful spot is the abundant sea life; the worst is the mindless moronic tourists that leave their brains at home. It is very hard to find a park after about 10am so I suggest getting there early if you want...More

We stopped for a quick snorkel. We did see several fish and tons of urchins tucked into the rocks. I saw so many people going out to swim without shoes on - these rocks are so sharp and all different depths - you go from...More

We saw hundreds of different fish and healthy coral. Lots of websites recommend Hanauma Bay as the "must-go" snorkeling site in Oahu. We did go to Hanauma and were a bit disappointed--very crowded, a lot of bleached coral and some pretty aquatic wildlife but not...More

We were staying at Turtle Bay and Shark Cove was 10 minutes away from us. We were so lucky to enjoy this incredible place almost every day! We saw so many fish, different colors, the water is so clear. Just go and enjoy the beautiful...More

As others have said the snorkeling here is really good for those with limited experience. Our teenagers loved the place and so did parents! Yes you need to be agile to get down the sharp rocks but it’s only a minute or two scrambling. So...More

Really terrific! We loved this snorkeling spot. Our guide from "Oahu Private Tours" brought us here. Great choice! We saw so many beautiful fish. Oh, and no sharks. It's just the name.

I’m 30 years old and I felt like a little kid snorkeling here! It was so god damn fun! Suggest you leave early to get parking I believe we were there around 9am or earlier and parking wasn’t terrible. Get your feet wet and once...More

Parking is an issue (like most beaches on Oahu) so come early. There is no real beach area or at least it’s very limited but there is both a sheltered shallow lagoon (great for children) as well as a deeper section (also sheep tweed from...More

This place is exactly what everyone says that rates it 4-5 Stars!! Absolutely gorgeous, and great food across the street!! Fish tacos are the BEST!! We came for my husband and son to dive, so my daughter and I wanted to snorkel, but no gear....More

Mask, snorkel and some water shoes(hard sole). Some kind of gloves for hand protection is not a bad idea either.
