Arrey Milk Colony is in Goregaon (E), a suburb of Mumbai. The place is famous for its milk bottling plant. One can actually see here how milk is bottled. It also has a picnic spot called Chhota Kashmir as well as a lake where boating can be done.

The Aarey colony patch is the best place in Mumbai for nature lovers. Its not commercialised and is a lovely drive thru too. U feel the cool air as spon as u enter. Lots of greenery, peace n quite. Major traffic jams too many a times. Avoid late nites there in view of safety.

First government dairy in Mumbai depicting the village environment amidst forest land so close to the city. Prioritizing nature, forest and the land, there is a beautiful garden which is known as 'Mini Kashmir", with lake and boating popular for film shooting. Pawai and Vihar Lake is near this area.

When Aarey Milk Colony was formed with help of New Zealand in then Bombay City it was outside city limits. To visit the dairy those days was a novelty. But now people visit Aarey colony for morning walks, ride boats with family and friends, and visit a wonderful site named Chota Kashmir meaning Mini Kashmir. In 1960's to 80's it was a popular place... It is rightly said that Aarey Milk colony (or jungle) is the only surviving green zone of Mumbai, which is contiguous to National park. After taking a turn from western express highway (where probably be the world's worst traffic snarl is encountered), one enters into a complete different world. It is green all around and the structures nicely melt into... More

Trees, birds and Calm. Pristine part of Mumbai still preserved in all its beauty. Doesnt feel like Mumbai. More like a jungle through which you are doing a safari

IT is like a reserved area in the middle of concrete Jungles. There was previously toll to travel on this road however lately it has been removed. Ideal for morning walks and strolls. Travelling by road on aarey road is just like sitting in a roller coaster. Most pathetic roads of mumbai can be seen inside this beautiful place- though... More
