Vast collection of ancient artefacts found here. Some are kept outside the muesuem too.. but inside has some rare collections of sculputures both damaged and restored with rich history behind each and every sculpture kept here. Worth the visit.

The Archaeological Museum of Aihole is a very small museum house inside the Aihole Archeological Site, so you can visit the museum without paying the full entry fee for the site The entrance fee is basically pocket change since it’s tiny, but then the museum is also tiny. There’s a room dedicated to prehistory and basically covers the evolution of hominids and that’s good. Another room has a scale model of Aihole and all the temples around the main site.
The museum is very average, but considering the entrance fee is so small, I’ll give it plus one.

They have great collection of ancient parts found during excavation at Aihole. Information is provided in Kannada and English.
Models displayed are good. Use of Camera is not allowed inside. Overall good to visit to gain some knowledge about surrounding areas like Badami, Aihole etc.

We took more than half an hour to visit this museum. Must visit the museum. You can know prehistoric and historical information of Aihole, Pattadakal and Badami. How ASI reconstructed these monuments one can know after visiting this museum. ASI kept many old sculptures, monuments and photos inside the museum. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the museum. Entry fee is only 5 rupees per person. It's in Aihole Durga temple complex.
