Splendid wines and hors d'oeuvres to match the scenery
Jun 2021
Great wines to match a terrific view from the top of the hill. The wines were matched to hors d'oeuvres, which added that much more to the tasting.
Professionally managed tasting and not pushy sales people.
I will continue to purchase wine from Petaluma

Couldn’t be more disappointed
May 2021 • Couples
We have travelled and visited many wineries and this would have to be one of the worst experiences . Such a shame because the wines are stunning and I have always loved the Petaluma brand. Never again. The arrogance to serve a wine flight with no discussion . I am not going to McDonald’s . Basic discussion on wine making would be appreciated rather than reading from a preprinted placemat. So many lovely wineries to visit and this was seriously a total disappointment.

Great location (and view!), delicious tasting flight and generous grazing board for lunch.

Experienced Petaluma through the Trail Hopper Adelaide Hills tour and had the Croser Sparkling Flight. The Croser Sparkling flight, food, view and service were great, will definitely be back!

Good wines

The view from the terrace is wonderful and the selection of white wines including a lovely sticky is very good. It is well worth the drive.

Service - what service
Apr 2019 • Couples
It has been a few years since I busted Petaluma, the last time was at the previous site at Bridgewater Mill but how things have changed. We were on holidays in SA and did a special trip from the Barossa to visit the winery. It showed they were open till 5pm and we arrived at 4:40pm only to be told we were too late to taste any wines or do a wine flight. Even when we had advised we had driven especially from the Barossa to visit the vineyard and were leaving later that evening but the lady behind the bar couldn’t have cared less. As an avid wine drinker and enthusiast , lucky there are plenty of other good options around

Great Location & Great Sparkling Wines
Dec 2018 • Couples
At the end of an organised wine tour of the Adelaide Hills region we decided to visit the Petaluma winery, specifically to try a flight of their Croser Sparkling Wines, having started the day with a visit to Deviation Road and tasting their sparkling wine range. On arrival we were greeted by Linda, who proceeded to select the wines and talked us through the wines on taste. The sparkling wines here are very good indeed, especially the NV Croser, Adelaide Hills and the 2004 Late Disgorged Croser, Piccadilly Valley. It is a real shame that these wines are not available in the UK. Recommendation is to purchase at the cellar door so you do no miss out on a real treat.

Great wine and service
Jan 2019 • Couples
Very different to other wineries with a “wine flight” - avoids the crowds and tour buses at other wineries - really enjoyed the selection in the “project flight” and the nibbles. Great to be able to sample wines only available at the cellar door. Fabulous location overlooking the Adelaide Hills

Great tasting experience
Nov 2018 • Friends
We planned a visit to Petaluma prior to lunch. Being a weekday, it was less crowded and we received excellent service. There are a number of different wine flights available and each person can choose to suit their personal taste. It also comes with some small nibbles. The space for the tasting is beautiful and the staff member was very friendly and knowledgable. The views are also lovely down the valley. Recommended

The winery has a grand entrance and the property is in great condition. The internal has art on the walls and the bar is welcoming. The deck is lovely with great views. The service was great and the wines were delicious. The wine flight included some nibbles which was a nice touch. We had a great time here, but if its busy, the high ceilings could make the internals quite loud.
