My daughter and I took a half day ride. The guides were great. We rode on the beach and through some beautiful country. They had a newborn colt named Trump because he was born on election day. What a darling little guy. My daughter went back and rode two more days.

This trip was one of the better rides we have gone on anywhere. The staff were helpful and did a great job with some kids who had never ridden a horse before. They built up their confidence and really helped them have a good time. The ride initially wound through some interior hills covered with huge cactus, over hills and... More

What a fantastic group of folks! The guides were funny, professional, and gave us a fantastic tour! Horses were great and matched appropriately with rider, from beginner to advanced. We had a bad experience at another ranch where we were ripped off but the concierge desk at the Hyatt recommended Rancho la Ponderosa instead, and it was a fabulous experience.... More

My husband and I visited La Ponderosa as an excursion from our cruise ship. We were promptly picked up from the cruise dock by a friendly, personable driver. Upon arriving we were warmly greeted and then our tour was described. Forms filled out, and then we were introduced to our horses who were chosen based on our experience. Our tour... More

This is a must do when you are in Aruba!!!! It was easy to book. They pick you up from the hotel! Take you to the ranch and get you on the horse. Make sure to wear sunscreen and bring a hat or sun glasses. It took us about 2-2:30 hrs total. Horses are well behaved and felt safe. Once... More

I strongly recommend La Ponderosa Ranch if you are in Aruba for horseback riding! It was a great day full of excitement. There was a little confusion about them picking us up at the hotel so they sent a taxi for us which they paid. Then, they gave us an additional $10 discount for having to wait. That is the... More

The staff couldn't have been nicer and safety came first for sure! They have friendly knowledgable staff, and wonderful horses. They breed and train Paso Fino horses at this ranch, and I was thrilled to be able to try their special gait...so smooth and comfortable (with a little instruction from the guides in order to give the correct cues to... We enjoyed our trip with Flavio to the ocean beach and he showed us a natural land bridge. We had fun riding the Paso Finos. The horses have a lot of get up and go. You will totally enjoy your ride. The staff and the horses take care of you. No worries, Amigo!

Horseback riding in most tourist destinations is a simple, short ride with a series of photo opportunities. This was most definitely NOT that. Our guide, Flavio (aka the Columbia Kevin Hart), took us through town, up a mountain, and down to the ocean, then back. Six miles. The terrain is the most challenging I've ever ridden on, but the horses... More

Been coming here for numerous years, they are always professional and always aim to please. Whether you are a beginner or advanced rider they will have the right horse for you. This is a fantastic way to see the back side of the island, whether at a full speed gallop or a slow walk it is up to you!!
