Probably the best museum I have ever had the fortune to visit! Hundreds of classic cars on display (and some new ones too!!). All in a modern setting. I could spend hours just in one of the two hangers. Alas, I was time limited…. So much information to absorb. An excellent cafe too.
The free return admission deal over the next year is good although living on the other side of the M25 the journey is not an easy one.
All in all, brilliant!!!

We pre booked tickets and arrived just after opening. We were met at reception by very attentive staff who were very pleasant and polite. They checked our tickets and provided a brief introduction to help us plan our visit. A brilliant few hours going round the museum covering 2 buildings. As a car enthusiast I was in my element and I’m sure my wife thoroughly enjoyed it as well although she wouldn’t own up to that. It was then topped off by an Austin Allegro show outside. Well done to everyone involved and a brilliant place to go and visit. A really professional set up.

The 'odds and sods' (sorry supplementary storage annex) above the Jaguar display area was a real mix of interesting, rare and forgotten vehicles.

Awesome display of British motor history with various old and new motor vehicles like motor bikes, cars and others. If you love motor bikes / cars, it is a must visit. Also, do visit Jaguar' workshop gallery (both floors) for more.

A great time with the family with absolutely loads of cars for everyone to enjoy and the exhibits were interesting and engaging. Coffee shop had some good options of cake etc and all of the staff were lovely, particularly Jamie who took the time to talk with us about our day and our visit so far. Would definitely recommend for car enthusiasts and newbies alike!

Glass half full

Visited at Easter time in my electric wheelchair.
Not too many people there which was surprising as the car park was quite full and there were just half a dozen disabled spaces - all full - disappointing as I see that reviews from as far back as 2020 have pointed out that they need more disabled spaces and it would be so easy to do!
Excellent collection of immaculate vehicles (the ones cut in half were very popular with the kids and helped me to explain how the longitudinal and transverse engines work and powers the wheels in either rear or front end cars).
What was surprising was the extent of the Gluten Free menu offered in the canteen.
Step-free disabled access throughout. The wheelchair lift in the second building was quite tight and there should be more space between the beautiful cars in that building where the cars are just in tight rows.
Recommended.

Brilliant day at the motor museum yesterday. Lots of vehicles with fascinating stories. Great exhibitions and tour guides offering interesting anecdotes, especially Jim who taught us lots of history about some of the older vehicles and the origin of common phrases such as "in the limelight".
Fully recommend a visit! Even my wife loved it!

We visited the British Motor Museum as a birthday treat for my husband. It was a brilliant day out, which he thoroughly enjoyed. With all the fantastic British cars and motorcycles on show, his highlight was seeing a car that was the first one he owned. That is the best thing about the museum, it ranges from fantastic dream cars to family cars which the average family owned. The staff are also very pleasant and helpful.

A wonderful display across two large buildings and several floors tracing the development of British vehicles on 2, 3 and four wheels from the very beginning. "Don't touch" almost without exception, but still a chance to get up close to these magnificent machines an marvel at the automotive art. There are seats for partners who may be less engrossed! Various film-star vehicles are included, including those from Lara Croft, James Bond and "Fools and Horses"!
A very reasonable cafe is available when refreshment is required.

Apologies, can’t help with that one.
There’s a very large car park, so they probably have the space.
As suggested elsewhere, give them a bell.

Would this be suitable for a young 3 year old? Is the play area suitable for him ?

There is a play area but I doubt if either you nor your child would be relaxed to offer you sufficient time to view all of the exhibits before boredom set in.
