We went out on the New Horizon boat with Captain Spence and first mate Eduardo on Wednesday, February 24 and had a fabulous time. We checked in right by the Margaritaville hotel at 8:30 and we were on the boat by 9:00 with our fitted fins. The captain explained all the safety information and everything we needed to know for the day and we headed out towards St John from St Thomas. We were served some lovely bread, pastries and fruit for breakfast along with whatever we would like to drink, non-alcoholic, on the ride over to our first stop at Maho Bay were the sea turtles like to hang out. We saw quite a few turtles and a few pretty fish and it was awesome. Our hosts were very good at helping us deal with the equipment and helping us figure out how to use it for those of us who are first time snorkelers. We had a very nice lunch with sandwiches, Caesar salad, shrimp, fruit and a lovely chocolatey brownie for dessert. Once we got to that they all drinks were flowing for open bar once the captain knew we could all swim and we’re doing OK. The painkillers were fabulous! We boated to two other areas to do more snorkeling and enjoyed the company, the music, and the drinks. One lady got over in a spot with a little bit of a current that we were pre-warned not to get into and Edoardo very calmly instructed her and then prepared himself and went in after her and took her over to that beach/coral area so she could see all the cool fish over there, we felt very safe with our crew. Both Spencer, and Edoardo gave us some historical information about the islands we were seeing in the passageways and about the nautical life as well as a few celebrities and wealthy folks with places in the area which was pretty cool. We saw some incredible yachts while we were out there, a guy parasailing, and the most beautiful color water that you will ever see. The multi colored blue waters is something you can’t hardly take your eyes off of. With the drinks still flowing we headed back for a nice little cruise around Saint John where we learned about some of the bags we were looking at, one of which was Trunks bay, that we had visited a couple days before Beachside so it was really cool to see it from the ocean side. We cruised into the dock right about 3 o’clock as we were told we would be and the captain helped us off make sure we had all of our things with us and Edguardo had all of our shoes lined up in a row for us on the dock to slip into on our way out. These gentlemen mostly work for gratuities like in the restaurant world and offer one made sure that they got a good tip because I thought they were awesome. My husband and I and our friends with us highly recommend this fun day in the Caribbean waters. If you’re staying at the Margaritaville resort your back one hour before happy hour from 4 to 6, two for one drinks, so all the better!

My family had an amazing day trip to BVI's Captain Greg along with Spencer & Cam made our day trip so enjoyable & fun! The day started with a continental breakfast along with a detailed itinerary for the day. The first stop was Virgin Gorda & the Baths a must see the water is a beautiful shade of turquoise I highly recommend bringing water shoes. The crew was great could not do enough for us it was definitely service with a 😃! I highly recommend this trip the stop in Jost Van Dyke was a lot of fun we visited the famous Soggy Dollar Bar the beach was lovely numerous other bars to stop in for a cool drink or a bite to eat! I would also recommend bringing a waterproof pouch for your phone since you need to swim or float about a quarter mile to shore. Thanks again Captain Greg & Crew we truly enjoyed our fun day at sea😃

The speedboat ride to Virgin Gorda and Jost van Dyke was well worth the cost even the International Fee. Pick up and return from Cruz Bay was convenient as we were St. John vacationers. Capt. Dave and First Mate Eduardo were courteous and knowledgable. The day included a guided tour through "The Baths, " snorkeling off one of the British islands, and the touristy swim at White Bay to the "Soggy Dollar" or any of the other beachside bars on Jost van Dyke. An assortment of pastries, fresh fruit, juice and drinks were served during the day. Lunch was on your own at the restaurant at "The Baths." There were 15 guests and the boat had ample space, shade or sun. Only downer was they ran out of our sizes for fins. We would consider repeating the next time we're on St. Thomas or st. John.

The experience with Judi and her crew was fantastic but be very careful with the billing and your credit cards. We paid on the boat what should have been $520 for the four of us and we later found out they charged our credit card and additional $78 dollars. We tipped in cash while on board as that is often preferred. Multiple calls have went unanswered so I would recommend you pay in cash.

The Captain and Crew worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time! The baths are beautiful and the beach where Soggy Dollar Bar is located is amazing! The first coat ride is long and the seats on the Break Away are very uncomfortable! Overall a great trip and I am very glad we did it.
I highly recommend bringing some type of seat cushion for the boat ride. It is also pricey due to the $75 per person custom fees on top of the cost of the trip

Thank you for the review. The Baths are 33 miles from St. Thomas so it takes about an hour or so to get to Virgin Gorda, but it is well worth it.

Went on a sunset cruise with them last week, you're supposed to meet at 4:30 for waivers but we didn't board until nearly 5:20, complete waste of time and they didn't even start letting people sign waivers until almost 5pm! There was also 40 people so that's not really my cup of tea and not because of COVID but there was only so much outdoor seating. The cruise itself goes out into the bay and you can see the hotel the entire time not to mention the "sunset" sets behind you in the mountains, not even on the water. The heavy hors d'oeuvres they serve were salmon COVERED in raw onion, as a matter of fact, the smell was abhorrent and you could smell it as soon as you got on the boat, bruschetta, cold meatballs and cold shrimp, I don't eat onions and I don't eat tomatoes and I don't eat food cold when it's supposed to be hot. They also reuse the cheap plastic champagne flutes which skeeves me out because I don't know what their definition of clean is and let's be honest it's only men working the boat. ALSO, the way those glasses are formed is there are little bubbles in the bottom of the flute that you 10000% cannot remove all the bacteria and my husband's glass even had an ant that crawled in there and died. All-in-all I wish we would've passed on this. And to top it all off the hotel has charged us for this and so has the vendor so St. Thomas customer service is just so outstanding and I can't wait to be on the phone for hours to sort this out.

I booked two excursions: 1 for a snorkel trip with meals and another for a champagne sunset sail. Both boarded at Margaritaville where we were staying. Our crew: Justin, Kayla and John. All professional, so hard working, great at explaining things and safety precautions while also using humor, which my husband and I appreciated. Kayla was wonderful in teaching me how to snorkel, as i had never done it before. We had breakfast, lunch and many drinks on the boat - water, beer, mixed. It was so worth the money. The sunset cruise was also so wonderful. Our crew acted as bartenders as well, so they truly worked so hard at their many responsibilities on both excursions. They were phenomenal and both our excursions were so much fun! Best money we spent. Thank you to that crew for making it so memorable for us!

We had a wonderful day on this tour, aboard the Breakaway with the crew Dave, Tyler and Eduardo. Our crew was excellent, fun, relaxed and really made this an enjoyable experience. The boat trip to Virgin Gorda was beautiful, and the hike through the Baths was fantastic. We were lucky that there was not a crowd on the day we went. Visiting the Baths is a really unique. The restaurant on the island we ate lunch at was quite good, and the views were beautiful. Next, we took the boat to a snorkel spot. The water was a bit rough the day we went, so it wasn't the best snorkeling, but it was a fun swim, and the area was not crowded (we were the only ones there at "Monkey Beach"), and we did see some fish. Our next stop was the fun and beautiful white sandy beach of Jost Van Dyke, where we swam to the beach from the boat. The fun "Soggy Dollar Bar" is there. We walked the beach, played in the water, and had a great time here. On the boat trip back, the crew made everyone drinks and provided snacks. The customs process was easy and the crew kept everything very well organized. We loved this tour, and would definitely recommend it-it is a unique and fun way to spend a day!

Our group of 14 went on a full day excursion with New Horizons Johnny Quest. Our all female crew including Captain, Stewart, and first mate, Sam, were amazing. After discussing what we wanted to do for our day on the water, we headed out. We went to two snorkeling locations where we saw sea turtles and also stopped for lunch on an island called Lovango just off the coast of St. John. We ate a wonderful lunch served by Cameron, and drinks made by Jake at the beach club there. The view was spectacular. Just what we wanted.

We can’t say enough about Stewart and Sam. They provided us with all of the safety information that we needed while on the boat, provided an enjoyable, quick breakfast of cake and fruit, and made us wonderful cocktails. They did everything humanly possible to make our day perfect! They even joined us when we danced and sang along to DJ Steve’s tunes.

Snorkeling on the Snorkel Cat was really cool! The guys working the boat have great personalities and really know how to make the trip fun and enjoyable. The food and drinks are super yummy. Definitely take sunscreen and reapply several times!
