What a great place! My wife and I (both in our 50's) stayed overnight in a cabin and did the six hour tour. The tour is not overly physical, you paddle in the water almost as much as you walk. They provide you with old running shoes to wear on the tour. Bring your camera, the guide has a dry... More

Thank you for your review. I see you are using an anonymous account name so will preserve your anonymity with discretion. Our Canadian visitors always like the real nature of our family guest house and the natural environment of the tours. I note you talk about paddling in the water, but I am sure you swam and floated equally for... More

We did the short 3 hr tour with our three children aged 7, 5 & 2. Olvin, our guide was very impressive in knowledge, focused on safety and did everything to make the adventure a good experience, knowing the kids would be tired from all the walking (about 5km to/from the canyon) he saddled up his donkey for our use.... We drove to somoto from esteli to do 4 hour canyon tour , and man was it awesome! We hiked around a mile to get to the canyon then it took some time getting around all the rocks before we could actually swim but it was so worth it . Uli was our guide and he was so nice .... More

Many thanks for your review. That's the second GoPro recovered in less than a week! I am so proud of the professionalism of our team of guides. They will always go above and beyond the call of duty. The other one was found in 10m of water! Enjoy the rest of your trip in Nicaragua. More

Was great! We had two guides named Noel, and both were really positive and fun to follow. Jumping into water (2-20meters) was thrilling, would recommend. Meals were great, and Brian and Henry had our transport to & from the Bus Station sorted, swift pleasant tour for sure! No wifi, bring a book & chill on the hammocks!

If hiking, mountains, water, and wildlife is your thing, you will love this. It isn't crazy, but a nice adventure and well worth it. We booked our trip though Treehuggers Tourism office. They set us up with everything. Henri picked us up from the bus station and drove us to the site. We paid $25, that included our ride, the... More

My wife and I went on the 4 hour tour and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The company is extremely professional and always has your safety as their number one concern. We had a ton of fun climbing, floating and jumping off canyon formations. Noel was an amazing guide! He stopped often along the hike to the canyon to explain various details... More

Although not as thrilling as expected definitely worth a day. Good views, great cliff jumps (5,8,10,20m). We booked it via treehuggers in estelí. Took a bus and picked up at Somoto bus station. A shame that we had to arrange ourselves to come back (luckily bus stops next to the tour accommodation). Take mosquito repellent and two pairs of socks.... More

The Somoto Canyon is Nicaragua's hidden treasure and the pictures don't even capture half of its beauty. Discovered relatively recently and not yet too crowded with tourists. If you decide to visit, which I highly recommend, make sure to book through this organization. The only have local and certified guides and really take the time together with you. They do... More

If you around Nicaragua don't miss this tour. You will meet such nice people and this cañon tour is just amazing. Our guide Renaldo was so lovely and I recommend him as a tour guide! I thought I just stay one night, but after o e night I would like to stay forever!

So the tour was very good, we stayed in a hotel in somoto and arranged to tour via the staff there! We got picked up by Henery who paid for our bus to start where we had a huge breakfast for a reasonable price and coffee. Our guide ( can't remember his name) was great, pointed out all sorts of...
