They officially re-opened this weekend & we attended the 6.30PM session of Grease. Would highly recommend arriving at least 45 mins to an hour before your movie to get situated & grab some food from the diner. The food although overpriced was good. On our way out the line to get in stretched all the way down past the M4/reservoir rd intersection so I wouldn’t be surprised if many of those people missed out on some of their movie.
We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be returning soon.

Great night at the Drive in. A relaxing way to spend the night with teens. I didn’t get to the kiosk, unfortunately-they could probably improve on the speed of entry as we waited in a queue for quite a while and we had bought tickets online. Next time!! Will certainly go back.

It was better than going to watch a movie at any indoor cinema. You have total freedom in the comfort of your own car. Just a tip make sure you disable your cars day time running lights before you go. It can lead to a terrible experience because it is really annoying for the cars in front of you.

4WD drivers can be selfish and not do the right thing and park in front of you with their boots up which make it impossible to see the screen. We have approached them many times and most of them are rude and ignorant.
The security guard is useless and seems to have no power to make them move.
he needs to be able to enforce the rules that they stay at the back but a lot of them get there last minute and simply don't care about other people.

Ignorant people leave their lights on inside the car which is great if your parked behind them.

Super expensive. best go to the cinema.

Had an extremely poor experience at the drive ins tonight. It was so dissapointing as my husband and I were looking forward to a date night which we hadn’t had in years here. Firstly we were asked for ID for a R rated movie, we are 30 years of age and thought she was joking - she wasn’t. Then she proceeded to say my husband looked different in his photo and stood at our car interrogating us - so unnecessary. We drove to the car park where a worker walked in front of our car to stop us to put us in her preferred car spot. Then we had a choc top where the cone was soggy. All I can say is, it has gone down hill - save your money/vouchers and go somewhere else.

Took my wife to the drive inn recently and it was awesome. Easy to get in, heaps of areas to park, clean amenities and a cool diner for a bit of tucker. The sound quality in todays cars is excellent. Will go again for sure when next in Blacktown .

We arrived 30 mins early to watch the latest blockbuster. However, we exit the M4 and it is a standstill, bumper to bumper, a 1km queue of cars to get in to the drive-in. Drivers are angry and aggressive in queue. Not fun.

After 1 hour in traffic jam, to move about 600 metres, we finally get in.

Cinema recognises traffic problem, and starts movie 20 mins late.

During movie, the idiots next to us runs motor for entire movie with lights on. Other patrons yell at them and flash lights. They keep running motor and leave lights on.

I love drive-ins (I've been going to the Heddon Greta one for 20+ years), but this first experience in Blacktown was awful in comparison.

Went to watch pitch perfect 2 tonight with my fiancé, we have never been to the drive ins before. The ticket said to come half an hour before the movies starts which we did ( even earlier) we purchased our tickets online and everything. When we got there the line was huge didn't know what to expect. As we got to the front gate the man said pitch perfect was full we could only watch the other movie that was on, which we did not want to see. The tickets were non refundable so we lost out. The least they could do is not sell tickets to a movie which is booked out!!!

Sitting in your car, seat reclined, under a blanket & stars watching the big screen in summer is what it’s all about. The Greater Union twin Drive-In cinemas at Blacktown are a relic of the city’s history & is one of last remaining in the entire state, true 1960’s culture. Each ticket includes 2 movies yet mofos still try & sneak people in the boot, it’s the oldest trick in the book. If your mistaken for looking too bogan or Leb you may be asked to pop it up for inspection. After the first movie there is a 30 min intermission.

Each parking spot has a pole with a mono-sound speaker. Alternatively the cinema also broadcast the audio via FM channel on your car stereo. The nightly spectacle of muscle cars with monster sound systems needing jump-starts is almost as entertaining as the movies. Cinema reception have portable jump-starters just for the record. The cinema food store also sells hot chips, nuggets & other unhealthy goodies for the family friendly cinema. Located on the other side of Blacktown it’s too far for troublemakers to walk to or groups of hoons to congregate. One of the few downsides is the movie selection which can’t appeal to everyone but Drive-Inns are more about snuggling up together rather than film satisfaction. The best fun is had by kids whose dad’s bring the ute loaded with mattress, pillows & blankets, the smiles on their faces say it all.

Every Sunday morning til noon, the cinema car park is transformed into a flea market full of people trying to sell their garage junk & junk store owners trying to sell their goods. $2.50 entrance fee. Located next to Blacktown’s oldest pub the 1880 est. Cricketers Arms Hotel a popular place, 35 kms from the Sydney CDB next to the M4 motorway & 1 km from the Prospect Reservoir.

Everyone makes mistakes, but not admitting or saying sorry for them is just plain rude!My fiance and i went to see Jurassic World and the man at the ticket counter said field One, we got there early to get a good spot and the movie was supposed to start at 7 but it started at 7.30.The movie finally started and it was the wrong one so we left our good spot to go to the ticket counter, we were not angry at this point because everyone makes mistakes, The lady was like "whats wrong?" we told her what happened and she started getting very snippy at us and said"oh well, the movie has only been on for 5 minutes, go to the other one then". But it was pretty full, she starting going on about that it wasn't her that sold us the tickets, why didn't we come when the movie started straight away, mind you we only realized it was the wrong movie because there was a little animation movie before the real movie.
She was so ridiculously rude!!! Saying "what do you want me to do about it?" again and again. In the end i had to call out from the passenger side to just give us a refund and then she went over to the ticket booth and we heard her telling the other staff things about it......we are not deaf.
This was a very impatient and uncaring staff member who is ruining the reputation of this drive in.
