Cooper Creek Wilderness is famous for its magnificent Fan Palm Galleries. This rainforest-relict from Gondwana is inspirational and exceptional. Old-world rainforest, pristine and primitive, needs to be experienced on a guided interpreted tour with a local expert to fully appreciate its rarity and complexity. We recommend both day and night tours.

We went on a 2 hour walk with Angie and left wishing we had booked for 4 hours! So much to see and take in but so magical and beautiful. We also walked the self guided board walks and went to the Discovery Centre but nothing compares to actually going through this special place with someone who is connected and... More

My girlfriend and I took up the 4-hour tour option. The tour guide Neil, who just happened to be the owner of the World Heritage property. Neil was an encyclopedia of the area as well as aboriginal history and was dropping knowledge bombs for the full 4 hour duration. This was a wonderful experience, and well worth the time and... Neil was fantastic, so knowledgeable about this area of the Daintree, with great stories of the history of the propert, and the unique trees and fruit of the area. Plenty of tastes of this fruit and also even some green ant licking which was lots of fun. We didnt get to see some cassowaries on the walk, but ended up... More

We did the greater wilderness tour with Neil on the day of our visit. This tour was exceptional. I really enjoyed listening to Neil along the walk as he provided us with a unique perspective that we don't often hear about when managing and handling a forest. He was very informative regarding the local flora and fauna in the area.... More

The 4-hour tour more than met expectations. I learnt so much during this long walk through unspoilt and protected rainforest. As trhe owner and guide, Neil was engaging and taught us so much about this special place and the interaction between different species - including the role that humans have to play in protecting the forest. If you're in this... More

Went on the 4 hour walk with Neil and was blown away by the depth of knowledge and understanding that Neil has about the rainforest. It is a must do for anybody visiting the region so that you can gain a better understanding of the importance of this beautiful area.

An amazing 2 hour walk with Neil through the Cooper Valley part of the Daintree Rainforest. Great trip although not a lot of animals to see. Neil was incredibly knowledgeable (was like a two hour college course).

We went on the crocodile tour first and then the rainforest walk. Lots of information about how all the plants and animal interact. I learned a lot about the rainforest and it opened my eyes to the amazing diversity and complexity of the region. At the end of the tour we saw the resident Cassowary, amazing!
