Call it Junks Hole or Savannah Bay, eat at Nat's Place or Palm Grove ... both location and eatery are one and the same! As you leave Island Harbour on Walter Hodge road, keep your eyes peeled for the sign and dirt track on the left of the road (safe for a car!). Just follow the road and signs to... More

Our experience of this beach apparently wasn't typical of some of the other contributors. You drive down a long dirt road to get to it. The bay is very large and has a nice beach along 95% of the bay. It was windy and the water was very choppy -- otherwise it looks like it would have been a great... More

I have difficulty walking and for several years needed a crutch to help support me while I walked. The first beach we would head to was Savanna Bay because it is secluded (no one staring) and the water at "Junks Hole" was so calm and not deep, allowing me to go into the ocean without fear. There is only 1... More

This is a bring-your-own-everything kind of beach. best place for snorkel. Drive down a rocky dirt track to Savannah Bay. The only thing at the end of the trail is Nat's beach shack. The beach is a naturel in the sense that everything washes up here...plastic bottles, fish nets, etc

This is a sad case of disappearing beach. Strong winds in the first two weeks of March resulted in a large influx of seaweed on a lot of beaches (Sandy Hill also). On Savanna, which is the most exposed in Anguilla, the whole mile long shore (which is hardly swimmable anyway) was covered with about a foot of decaying weed,... More

Don't let the tales of the mile long trek over a dirt and rock strewn track to this bay deter you. You don't need a jeep to get there and you will be rewarded with a jem of a bay ! Both days of our trip to Savanna Bay we had the bay to ourselves and enjoyed snorkeling and walking... More

What a GORGEOUS beach! It is a bit difficult to get it and yes, there is some litter. But it didn't spoil a thing for us. To find a beach like this, virtually uninhabited, is just unheard of. Worth the bouncy roads :)

Savannah Bay is quiet and very beautiful. To top it off, you have Nat's Palm Grove Restaurant there for some of the best ribs and johnny cakes on the island! Watch out for Nat's hot sauce!

Savanna Bay is a beach to be relaxed. Very few people around, white sand, calm waters, you and the sun. There are some rocks at the north end where you can see some good underwater creatures if you like snorkeling. Also, in the middle of the bay, like 20 meters off shore, there is a big rock formation and few... More
