The fortress is fine but the Kervansaray dating back to the 16th Century is exceptional. You can endeavour to read the hyroglythics over the entrance doorway and make out the date in the late 1500's. Bedding down for the night with your Camel or Horse...More

With magnificient salamon's son( sarı selim) mosque,sokullu mehmet pasha karawansarai and payas fortress next to each other. Very good condition and you can visit every hour. At karawansarai there is turkish bath and turkish bazaar

One of the good condition fortress in Payas,Turkey. There are sokollu mehmet pasha karawansarai (1570),Sarı selim mosque(1572),Turkish bath next to fortress. There is 1100 years old olive tree in the backyard of sarı selim mosque
