- Rohit UpadhyayBengaluru, India17 contributionsNice place to see Kangaroos and kuala! Worth the money.Nice place to see some of the Australian species up and close. One can touch and feed the numerous kangaroos. Kualas are also an amazing sight. The only negative aspect is the apparently sorry state of the kangaroos..many seem to be in a pitable condition. The place becomes crowded with large groups - better to go in early.Visited October 2023Traveled soloWritten October 21, 2023
- JohnstannoSingapore, Singapore521 contributionsGreat Up close experience with the animalsIt is a great wildlife park to experience feeding kangaroos up close. You can walk up to the kangaroos, and the feeds are free (as compared to other cities where the animals are in enclosure and you need to pay for the feeds). Kids and adults also get to hold a snake for photos and watch (and participate in) animal shows. Varieties of wildlife are also great. Definitely an awesome experience for everyone!!Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 3, 2023
- Mark P43 contributionsIconic Australian animals in one placeIt’s a zoo, so if you don’t like to see animals in captivity (or virtual captivity), give it a miss. For us visiting Australia, it was a great way to see all of their wildlife in one place. The animals seemed healthy and many had been rescued from elsewhere, the keepers seemed to genuinely have real love for their jobs. The queues to have photos taken (for free) with animals were well managed and moved pretty quickly for the volume of people. At around £17 each for 3-4 hours in a compact, looked-after setting, seemed good value and the cafe was reasonably priced too. Parking at the site was free.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten January 11, 2024
- HeidiNewcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom13 contributionsDefinitley recommend for a fun day outThis is a great place where you can easily spend the whole day. You can meet koalas and get photos with them, there are tons of kangaroos that you can feed and take selfies with. There are so many other animals too that are definitely worth seeing though. There are shows throughout the day which are worth a watch. Also a large picnic area and great gift shop! Not far from Perth so great choice for the day especially families and not too expensive considering everything available.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten February 17, 2024
- AlexPerth, Australia522 contributionsA day out with the familyA lovely day out at Caversham with family visiting from the UK. $35 adult entry price included in this - feeding kangaroos, farm show, watching other animal feedings and meeting a Koala and Wombat! We were there for around 3 hours there is a kiosk where you can buy food/snacks (have to get a coffee from a machine) and also an undercover picnic area if bringing your own. N.B. For another $35 you can pay to hold a koalaVisited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 4, 2024

After getting your entry ticket, go to Souvenir store to book the entry. There are limited slots and it’s sold out very quickly! During local school holidays it’s very crowded.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 7, 2024
- Cam2011_11Greenwood, Australia156 contributionsBrilliant day out. Fantastic wildlife park.Absolutely superb park. We loved patting the wombat - staff were kind in bringing him down to my wheelchair. Our niece is still estatic about holding a koala. Animals are well cared for and the staff / volunteers very helpful and informative. White kangaroos were a novelty. The park is beautifully kept. Well worth a visit and value for money.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 26, 2024
- BANSI GERSAPPABengaluru, India48 contributionsCaversham Wildlife Park Perth WAWe were on a holiday in Western Australia and were in Perth which gave us an opportunity to visit the Caversham Wildlife Park. The Park is spread over a large area and is covered with trees and plants which gives a cool cover to visitors. The Park has Australian animals and birds - Koalas - Quokkas to Kookaburras - Penguins and ofcourse Kangaroos. We were allowed to pet Kangaroos but other animals could only be touched. They also have reptiles in glass cages and have shows on animals and birds. Fun place for children. They have a cafe which serves sandwiches coffee and sodas. It worth a visit. Bookings can be done online.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 6, 2024

The Koala was eating leaves in a tree and you could touch its fur but it certainly wasn’t manhandled. The staff member leading the interaction was watching people at all times and keeping an eye on the koala. The people looking after the animals were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their roles. The penguins, pelicans and seabirds, as an example, were largely ones that had been rescued as had been injured, or wouldn’t survive in the wild. The cafe is run by volunteers and compared to many family attractions we have been to, was very reasonably priced. It has plenty of fresh sandwiches, cakes and drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and will be going back.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 11, 2024
- SheTravels153Nowra, Australia59 contributionsWorth every penny! We had a wonderful day out with the family at Caversham Wildlife Park. We absolutely loved being able to get up close to the animals and even got to cuddle a koala! There was plenty of shade and the grounds were immaculate. Donna at the ticket box gave us such a warm welcome and couldn’t have been more helpful. We even got to see Donna on the way out and she remembered us and took the time to chat to the kids about our experience and made us feel very special….We will definitely be back just for the exceptional customer service! This is definitely a must do if you’re in Perth.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 14, 2024

This is my second visit to Caversham Park after 8 years. The zoo maybe quite small but there is a lot of interaction with the animals like the kangaroo feeding, cow milking, animal show, photo taking with wombat, snake and lizard. This time round I even get to hold the koala with a fee of AUD30. Definitely worth it for koala lovers, else can still just take photo without holding them at no extra charge. The staff there are also friendly. Highly recommended place especially for those with small kids.

I would like shared my experience with everyone. I consider that if someone decided visit Perth this is a required place for each of them. Just if you love the animals and you find interesting how they lives. You should came to there! I would like give you some reasons because this could be the best option for your trip. The most important can be that this is a natural reserve so you are sure they are fine! So they get a really well care. Also at the firts time you start your tour, you can feel like if you are inside of the jungle, this is amazing because all this is a sensory mix that makes your experience most genuine. Another one is that in Caversham there are animals just from Australia so it´s your time to know more about wildlife of Australia. At the end and the most lovely reason is that you can touch, give food and interact with they and take a fantastics pictures of your experien. I Regard that everyone have to live this experience one time in their life so I don´t have anything bad to say about this place.

I'm from Perth, but my partner is Spanish and had never been to Australia before. We went for two weeks and without a doubt, the highlight of the trip for both of us was Caversham. For just $30 you get to feed the kangaroos and get up close and personal to so many animals - the koalas were particularly magical! I can't believe I'd lived in Perth for so many years and never visited, I plan on going back annually!

If you are interested in seeing Australian wildlife up close then I highly recommend Caversham Wildlife Park. The staff are helpful and knowledgable and there are several opportunities to have your photo taken with various animals, all of which are included in the price. My only regret is that I could not spend kore time there!!

I visited with my 5 year old son, my 2 year old neice, my brother and his wife.
We visited on a cool, unusually rainy day so all the animals were out. This made it a wonderful visit.
We met a Koala, a Wombat and various other Australian natives, including a lot of Kangaroos! My son and neice loved it and were excited looking at all the animals, especially the farmyard ones.
There is loads of space for a picnic there and you don't have to carry it with you as you can go back out to the car to get it.

Fantastic park where you can admire practically all the typical Australian animals, from koalas, to kangaroos, to Tasmanian devils... all of them!
The "meet a koala" experience which consists of being able to hold a koala and have photographs taken costs extra, $35 per person but it is worth it. This extra cannot be purchased through the site together with the tickets but only on site, at the souvenir shop (not at the ticket office). Probably because if it is too hot this extra service is not provided.
Otherwise, not wanting to spend more, there are set times in which they organize photo sessions included in the price of the general admission ticket, during which they place the koalas on small trees and allow visitors to stand next to them to have their photos taken. Practically the difference with the "meet a koala" is that in this case the experience is much faster and it is obviously not possible to hold the animals in your arms.
The kangaroo area is also spectacular: there are many of them and all are absolutely tame: with due respect it is allowed to pet and feed them.
Free photography with the wombat, snake and possum. The reptile area is also very rich.
There really are all the animals! The park opens at 9am and closes at 4.30pm (at least when we were there, in February) and it is best to spend the whole day inside the park... I don't agree with the ratings read relating to an average time of 3 hour stay... including the various activities (free and otherwise) the time is not enough.
Overall great experience!

We went to see and hold the koalas. You stand in line to get to tje koalas and every group of people gets to touch their own koala. You can do tje same with wombats and get to pet the lazy kangaroos. Tjere are many birds amd they even have a casuar. We really enjoyed ourselves and spent hours in the park. you can bring your own lunch or buy it there. Need a car to get there and go early.

This would be a great day out. I came with my dad who is in an electric wheelchair. You really need to be here the whole day to enjoy, and concession rate for disabled steep, as you can’t enjoy full facilities. I would have enjoyed it with able bodied family member

Is there anywhere to store a car seat save us carrying it around the park with us?
Written April 28, 2019
Not sure but you'll best to leave it in the car. Can always ring ahead and ask Caversham Park if they can store your car seat for you whilst you're walking around the park. Good to take a stroller for your little one for the park is very big. Lots of walking.

As we have seen many wild koalas and had photos with ones in other wildlife parks we weren't worried about interaction times so just went and wondered around. I think we were there for about 3 hours which is probably the minimum time.
