I always visit Weissenhäuser Strand in february because I like it. The waterpark has a lot of different rides and entertainment for everyone. It is very family friendly. Only minus is that the changing rooms has a much lower capacity than what would be great, so we always wait in line a bit. It might be because we arrive in the Danish school holidays like alle the other danes.

Something for everyone. It is not that big, but it had all you needed for the children family and you didn't have the feeling of being crowded. Lots of different water slides and a wave-tank.
Come early in the morning when it opens.

A worn down old place, with rude staff, and inefficient queuing system. We spent hours in different queues - 1 h to check in, 1 h to enter the pool area, queuing for food, queuing for getting out, queuing for changing rooms... Not fun with small kids. Not allowed to bring own food inside, but food to bye is expensive and not good at all. On top of that the staff is so rude and refuse to speak anything but German. The pool area is old, smells lots of chlorine (much more than any other pool area we have been to) resulting in an irritating cough after a few hours inside. Water slides are old, and I would not say not safe to go in since we all got injuries, and the staff did not seem to care when we tried to notify them about the risks. The best slide was the one with the rings, so that is a big plus. But apart from that we could not recommend the place, specially not with the price you pay.

The routines in germany or at least here are different than all other places, change in a small room and the put your clothes in a locker, had to leave early as my girlfriend found the plase not very fresh and even discusting, could need a re-think and remodel...

Apart from a couple of ok slides and a decent toddler area it is honestly a little boring. It is small and there is only one actual and very small pool.

Positive is it does not smell like chlorine and has a very nice temperature.

Have a look at Scharbeutz as a fantastic alternative for a holiday.
