First lesson of visiting an owl aviary - owls are night animals

The sanctuary is located in an old stone quarry not far from the main parking in Borová Lada. The visitors centre is small but informative. BUT - First lesson of visiting an owl aviary - owls are nocturnal animals hence you are not going to see them prancing or flying enthusiastically around the aviary. They are hiding on their shady perches throughout the day. So be prepared to search for the owls in their aviaries.
There is also a small playground by the entrance.
