This is a place that just begs you to take photos. It has all of the right elements for a great photo. It was very comfortable, lovely and a great place to have a meal as well.

The old Jachthaven Kortenhoef restaurans has closed. A new very good restaurant has started here: Lust Kortenhoef. A very good Seafood restaurant.

We decided to take our grandson out on a first canoe trip. The weather was not fantastic so we were the only ones on the water.
It was great. The staff was helpful, we got a map of a route for under two hours and the canoe did what canoes do. We had a great time.
Can't wait to repeat on a scorching day - hope it is still as quiet and empty.

Each year when we visit the Netherlands, we rent a boat at Jachthaven kortenhoef.
They offer various type boat and we always like a "sloep". When you rent the boat, they very nicely explain all rules and what to do and see. The boats are well equipped, super clean and have a full tank to last a day and so asked for they arrange catering as well. The port also has a nice restaurant and ample parking and the lake " de wijde Blik" is the cleanest water you have ever seen. We like touring the lake and visit the various sand-beaches for great swimming. Nothing is to much and the family is realy on top of things.
