We hiked from the bottom of the ski lift, from the chalet car park to the top in about 2 hrs climbing around 500m. We found some amount of snow at this time. The place is beautiful, the top was surprisingly bald and rather windy....More

The drive to the top is an adventure in itself. Hairpin bends, steep drops and stunning views. All on a well maintained road. Phew!! Once there it was so worth it. This was my families first mountain and what a treat. Stunning views and such...More

Dramatic landscape and fantastic bike ride that will test the best. If you’re a biker, it will test your metal. Good road surface. Great views however you get to the top.

This mountain shows up on the Tour de France on a regular basis. We didn't cycle it..we drove it and were not alone. Hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists, folks in cars...they were all there. Ventoux is also famous in French mythology. Worth a visit for sure.

Two of our party cycled up but we drove! At 39C it looks like madness to cycle but a lot of cyclists with masochistic or narcissistic drivers were doing it today. I am in awe of the chap we saw cycle up with one leg,...More

As a road bike cyclist this was a must visit while in Provence. Even though I didn’t ride up the mountain the drive itself was incredible. Just to see all those cyclists suffering was inspiring. An awesome experience👍🇫🇷!

Whether you are climbing on foot, by bike or in the car, it's well worth going to the top of Mt. Ventoux (which incidentally is not in Vaison la Romaine at all, but between Bédoin to the south and Malaucene to the north. You won't...More

Vebtoux is a great place to visit, although try to climb on a guaranteed clear day - we started off clear, form Les Colombets, but once we were above 1700 metres freezing, racing clouds rolled over and it was hard to stand up. Our hike...More

I understand there are footpaths to the top.The road from Bedoin is about 23 kilometres so it's a major hike by using the road. There is no way to walk up and cycle down unless you take a bike with you somehow. The bike ride... More
