It's a nice little village. This square is the center. It's worth visit. You can walk a little bit to visit the place. Very touristy in the area.

Prades is about 900 mtrs above sealevel. The cosy medieval Plaza Mayor offers a good choice of terasses and is an ideal place to cool down on a hot summer's day. Prades is central starting point for hikes, cultural spots (Poblet, Scala Dei) and culinary trips into the beautiful Serra of Monsant. This area is a hidden gem, so close to the costa.

Like so many Plazas in Catalonia/Spain, this one is full of life. The high points are the Friday morning market, particularly in the summer months, and also the various festivals which are held throughout the year. The last one was end-May, and devoted to a combination of wild thyme, which grows in profusion in the woods and mountains that form the background to the village, and a speed-painting competition where the all-round standard was pretty high.. There are about ten bars and marginally fewer restaurants, all with terraces. In summer after sunset, the Plaza is deliciously cool and ideal for having a beer & olives or whatever and watching the world go by.
