About
Situated in one of the most ancient wine-making region near Areni, we have taken our historical experience and embarked on an honest quest to produce wine we are proud of. To achieve perfect quality, every element is taken into consideration and as essential as the overall experience: the location of the vineyards, the wine’s journey to its optimal maturity, the visual components, the length of flavors, the aromatic notes as well as the body of the wine. All of these components combine to not only measure the quality and sample of the wine, but more importantly, enhance the experience of the sample. We welcome you to share our experience.

This is for the restaurant in the winery. I didn't find a separate listing for it. It's called TNJRI. Traditional Armenian food. First time it was very good but it felt like I was seating outside as there were too many flies. I don't know what they can do about it but it was annoying. Next time the food was very salty. With that said, it's probably the best choice in the village. Try their salad with tarragon and grapes and lamb dishes. Just ask them to go easy on salt. Service is good. Didn't try the wines as I was driving.

Hin Areni has nice wines but the experience is average as an English speaker. The food in the restaurant was ok but if you really like your wine branch out and try Trinity Canyon or Old Bridge.

Very interesting tour and really worthy vine tasting, if u want to try some exceptional classic and reserve bottles just ask for it during your tasting.
After all u can of course buy some bottles directly in their shop

Very popular place for group tourists to visit, lots of people around. A brief tour around and wine tasting (3x). Absolutely not tasty wine, even Georgian wine is much better. Very smelly halls (of wine they make in steel cisterns). Not worth the money for wine lovers, can be OK for ordinary people with little taste.

I have visit in 25? Wineyard in last few years and this was not even close of the best ones

1: tour costs 1.400 per Person, it takes 15min.? And you see nothing.

2: wines
Personally (or my fiance) did not like them. Rose was ok, everything else like cheap wine in a store.

Not really worth to visit, sorry.

Came here as part of a tour through Hyur Travel. They split the tour up by languages spoken, e.g., English or Russian. A tour guide leads you through various parts of the winery and shows the metal containers for making the classic wines, the machines for bottling, and the oak barrels used for making the “reserve” wines. The tour takes about 15 minutes and then ends with a tasting. The classic white, rosé, and red are really mediocre and too acidic. The reserve Rosé and reserve Red are decent, but not worth what they are charging for a bottle. Be warned: if you pay extra for any service, be sure to count the change returned to you by the staff. I paid 3500 dram for the reserve tasting with a 20,000 note, and the woman tried to give me only 11,500 back (short 5000). When I asked for the rest, she only switched out one 5000 note for another, but still tried to give only 11,500. This winery employs crooks who try to swindle foreigners! Best to avoid this winery.

They will give you tour of their wine making process and storage facilities. There is a wine tasting done at the end of the tour. White was the best.

but cannot say we were smitten by the wine. The classic white was the best but certainly not buying the rose or the red.

Stopped here on a day tour. Deeply dissapointed by tastings, visit. But partial blame is also on tourist agency which add this visit in 30 min time range... tasting was really express-when you've smelled one wine in the glass, they were pushing you with new bottle. No explanations really. Short tour in basement, 10 minutes. To get/keep European customers, they should really rethink this mass tourism wine tastings...

The tour was nice and I’d recommend it to anymore visiting this winery.
There were only 3 wines in the tasting and none of those were to my taste.
