Fancy shop in a heritage building
Jan 2020 • Friends
Building has a history and is delightful to be in. The wares on sale are fancy and touristy to me. Good initiative and worth checking out though.

However, do drop by the nondescript museum beside this building. It has informative displays on the history of this little town and the Aborigines who used to be there.

Art and Craft Made Locally, Great Service.
Jun 2019 • Solo
Drove all the way from Melbourne CBD to buy a special locally made gift for a family in Europe. Beautiful range of wood, ceramics, glass, and objects. Everything is made in Australia and most inVictoria. Service was not pushy but helpful and after offering advice and assistance, gave you space to browse and make a decision. Great parking in parking lot next door, which also has a toilet, Worth the drive to find something authentic.

Quality gifts, unusual and varied selection
Jan 2019 • Friends
Located on the banks of the upper Yarra with parking available and on a regular bus route from the city. If you look hard enough, you will find something that you cannot leave without. The range is extensive as are the prices.

One of the best galleries in Victoria
Nov 2018 • Solo
One of the finest galleries you will find in Victoria. This place is curated by the most dedicated and lovely women who have a key eye for unique Ans unusual items and talented artists.
Woodwork, jewellery, glassware, pottery and so much more.
Located centrally in Warrandyte with good parking out the front or to the left of the building. You can come here and find that something special for yourself or a friend.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly if they keep their hands gently off delicate items.
This is a must visit place in Warrandyte and I know you’ll enjoy everything it has on display.

Eclectic place to shop
May 2018 • Solo
I have been visiting Stonehouse for multiple decades, both in it’s old site and the new. I prefer the new as the light from the (mostly) stained glass windows shows off the exhibits really well. Anyone looking for a treat for themselves or a large or small gift for a friend will have a hard time choosing as the local(mostly) artists, potters, painters, weavers, jewellery makers, carvers, handbag designers and don’t forget the candlestick makers-truly have the most exciting array of items. There are also occasional specific exhibitions which showcase different members of the gallery.
The staff are all members and are very knowledgeable about the items for sale, particularly when their own! They are very friendly and are willing to wrap items, which they do beautifully. Unfortunately, I do not visit as often as I would like because I tend to spend more than I should, but will do so again soon.

Longstanding gallery
Apr 2017 • Solo
The Stonehouse gallery has been part of Warrandyte for over Forty years.
It was started by potters and artists showcasing excellent pieces.
The newer venue is the old gospel church.
The setting is perfect and the gallery was outfitted perfectly to distinctly show the unique artworks and pottery and jewellery.
It's always a go to place for me finding special gifts for family and friends.

Doesn't get much better than this for artisans
Jan 2017 • Solo
This Gallery has been in Warrandyte for many years and the quality and calibre of work on display and for sale is extremely high.
Whether you like pottery, silk, woodwork, jewellery, craft and more - then this is the place to come and find something completely unique.
Be prepared that the items are of high quality and you will pay for that. This isn't cheap stuff imported from overseas - these are handmade, homemade items that are often made by people who make their living from being creative.
There is plenty of parking out the front or in Whipstick Gully Road or the carpark to the left of the building. Opening hours are generous, particularly over weekends. Wheelchair access is very good.
If you're looking for something unique, one-off or out of left field as a gift or for yourself - then hop on down to the Stonehouse Gallary.
