Local park in Warrandyte State park

One can access the park via Tills Drive (next to Stonehouse Cafe) or walk in from Jumping Creek. Just follow the Yarra River. It is a delightful bushland with undulating tracks. The wild flowers can be spotted here now that it is spring time! I have seen few wild orchid varieties along the path today. Just lovely.

Little piece of heaven in Warrandyte

I love this park on the Yarra River. With so many different parks/reserves along the river, this one is more kid friendly. There are houses surrounding the area and also not so private. Chances of seeing wildlife is still possible but passing cars may make it more challenging. The walk from the Tills Drive carpark is easy and quite pretty. Take a turn from the Stonehouse Cafe and head to the designated carpark. The walk to the reserve is great because it's a circuit so you can do a loop. To get there takes about 5 minutes but isn't wheelchair friendly.
There are no toilets or bins here. The Stonehouse is a nice way to end your walk or time away. There are a few picnic benches.
This place is known for it's open woodlands, old mine diggings, a meandering riverside track and varied birdlife are some of the main features of Black Flat.

Nice spot amongst suburbia

This park on the Yarra is not as 'wild' as other reserves on river. Due to houses around reserve your less likely to see wildlife ( still a chance though). It's a nice easy walk down to river from small car park
off Tills drive. You turn off before Stonehouse Cafe (which does yummy food). The reserve has a circuit walk that takes you down to river (5 mins). It's a nice part of river with a few rocks that creates a nice sound effect. To do full circuit head down in clockwise direction and take jumping creek return path at picnic area to complete circuit. No amenities apart from picnic bench.
