Disappointed

Path to cafe has been renovated to plastic. It was wet today and extremely slippery and dangerous. Spanakopita was horrible. Partner said burger was just edible.

Visited here were told we only had only 3/4 of an hr to stay which was fine, ordered scones jam and cream , cream was off .Also ordered soup at 1130 asked if we would like it served at the same time as scones which we said yes, soup didn't arrive when questioned where the soup was, told it wouldn't be served before 12 as it was a lunch time item ,would have been nice to be told this when ordering ,left without having any thing ,I'll never return again ,how hard would it have been to heat up soup ?

Warrant a visit

Wanting lunch on a lovely summer’s day we decided to try this nursery cafe destination. We tried to make a booking for 1.00pm on a Saturday & was advised this was not possible, however we were welcomed to pop in & hopefully score a table which is what we did.

We were seated on arrival under a huge patio umbrella thankfully as UV rays were certainly noticeable.

Decision made on Asian chicken salad which had a tangy dressing & open lamb souvlaki. The flourless pear mini cake was not too sweet & went well with our lattes. We shared a large sparking mineral water to stay hydrated. Service was quick & attentive.

Reasonably priced - the cafe was full - there were more people in cafe than in nursery .... there’s a well stocked large gift shop as well.
A relaxing day duck watching after any enjoyable lunch. Well worth a visit, there’s ample parking.

ATTN: BUSINESS OWNER WARREN GLEN CAFÉ-COVID EDIQUEITTE COMPLAINT

Today November 15th 2020 at 10:30am, I with my husband, and a young couple with a 2.5-year-old child had breakfast at your café. Your speedy food service was good, but your speedy staff overseen by your Manager Debbie was not! During the whole duration of our meal your waitresses were constantly removing any empty glass, coffee cup, any dish belonging to any one person at the table whilst we were still eating. We could not have an enjoyable relaxing eat of the food we paid for. Your venue had no food service manners at all. They were clearing the table far too often and too quickly in the 75mins we were there. Furthermore, a waitress also came to our table after an hour to request that the 2.5-year-old child sitting on the ground between her parent’s side by side chairs was to sit in the chair provided. She was not sitting on the ground in the way of anyone. In addition to this we were told we only had 15mins to finish and leave. This was unbelievably rude and when I expressed my unhappiness about this to your Manager Debbie, she used Covid hospitality restrictions as an excuse. I live in Abbotsford and have recently gone to restaurants in Toorak, Abbotsford, and Collingwood to dine without ever experiencing such bad service manners. Unfortunately, your restaurant sceptic tank was giving off some very smelly whiffs where we were sitting too. So disgusting!

This is a nice cafe set amongst the back drop of a nursery. Clean, accessible with a good selection of healthy food choices.
Good for children too.

A beautiful spot for a day out with friends. The lunch menu was great and it included options for vegetarians. The garden was lush and the gift shop had a wide variety of home decors.

This is a lovely cafe serving beautiful food to everyone ‘s taste. After a walk around the gift shop and nursery it’s lovely and relaxing to sit in the cafe with a coffee and cake, or a full meal of your choice.

Dropped in to look for some plants - this is a very good quality nursery- and stayed for a beautiful lunch and glass of wine.
Recommend a table on the balcony overlooking the pond if available

Always great food and service
Apr 2019 • Friends
I've been to Warran Glen Cafe about a dozen times over the last few years. Every time I'm reluctant to return because I've found the food just a little pricey. But every time I go there, the food IS excellent, service great and the location is perfect.
If there was only one criticism it would be that it gets so busy it becomes noisy. And really, that's being a little pedantic.
Warran Glen caters well for vegetarians and although I'm not one, I'm attracted to the lovely pumpkin, beetroot and feta salad. In fact all the salads are fresh and tasty. I'm told by my seafood eating friends that the calamari is good.Even the lovely little tarts and cakes for dessert are a good portion size, not those enormous slices of chocolate cake that you feel obliged to eat.
On my last occasion, I was fortunate to celebrate a special event with a friend and were bought two little bottles of champagne which were brought out quite ceremoniously after being asked by the staff 'is there a special occasion?' That was a nice touch. Can't fault the service.
There are small and large tables so if you have a group you will be well catered for. A booking is always wise. Remember - if you want something quiet and intimate, this may not be the place unless you ask when booking for something on the deck.
Carparking is good, although again, it gets busy. Location is central to Ringwood, Templestowe, Lilydale etc and is in a lovely part of Warrandyte, not far from the Yarra River

Food quality going down and not elderly/mobility friendly
Apr 2019 • Couples
We have been visiting this place for a few years now but have noticed the food quality has really gone down to the point where we just visit for coffee. It's worth a visit for the lovely garden atmosphere, views and plants.

But we aware, it's not good value for money and as previously noted, very bad for elderly due to the steep incline and no rails for support. Even the toilet is up an even steeper hill with no rails for assistance.
