That is very interesting place if you like folk culture. That museum is on fresh air, near small town - Kolbuszowa. There are real buildings from XIX - XX century, like homes, farms, windmill, mill and even a beautiful church. It is good to see this!

I have been to other skansens in Europe and love the experience. I am an American whose grandparents came from this area and so it gave me a distinct insight into how my ancestors lived.
We took the English audio tour and we were a little hurried because the museum was closing. I would love to return on a special event day to see the skansen in action.
This type of museum is a treasure for those interested in history. It is very well done and a great amount of research went into making it authentic. They have a wonderful website that can be translated into English, so you can prepare yourself ahead of time or review it at a later time.
I highly recommend this museum.

I've been here as a tourist a few times and am always glad I came. It's a large outdoor museum with lots of old timey barns & windmills, a few farm animals and very beautiful vegetation. You can walk inside the old houses that are set up like they must have looked like back in the olden days. Great photo ops and nice staff. If you're in the area, it's a great place to visit.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the open-air museum in early November and was amazed at the attention to detail in ensuring the representation was as accurate as possible. There are many buildings and items detailing what life was like in the 19th early 20th century. The church is beautiful. Truly a realistic visit into Poland's past. I could have spent the day there! The knowledge and detail takes my breath away.

This is a fascinating collection of historical buildings (houses, barns, workshops, church, etc.) set in a large country setting that really shows how average people lived in Poland in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Our guide, Sabina, spoke excellent English and provided some really good stories about each of the builidings and how their inhabitants conducted their lives. The beautiful country setting is also so very charming. Very reasonably priced! Gift store, refreshments and food available on-site.

It was fun to walk around this Folk Museum to get an idea of what the homes were like when my grandparents lived in Poland. The English audio tour helped immensely.

Amazing place to visit if you want to see how the Folk people used to live years ago. There many old wooden houses you can enter inside. The most interesting thing was the wooden church which was very impressive and looked so nice. In summer time there are few events where you can try the traditional food and listen to the folk music and even see the Folk dance.

Such a wonderful experience at this ethnographic museum! There are voice recorded tours for many different languages and you can take as long as you like going through each different stop on the map. It was exciting to see how different traits from our Pioneer world in the US compares to the villages of Poland. The grounds are lovely and well taken care of. A wonderful stop for an hour or a whole day!

The lady at the Tourist Information center in Rzeszow recommended a visit to this historical museum, so we hopped on a bus and went. With no signage in town, we asked a local for directions. She walked us 3 blocks to the museum office, as we do not speak Polish and she did not speak English. Once inside, we learned that the historical village is 3km away on the outskirts of town. They drove us there and gave us a personal tour, in English, explaining the history, culture, and beliefs of the people. We learned so much and are glad we went.
