Warsaw day tour

Amazing walking tour of Old Town Warsaw. Our guide, Marcin, was very knowledgeable and had pride in telling the story of Poland. We did the standard sights as well as a couple no so common places. We visited the Warsaw University of Technology (Politechnika Warszawska) and the architecture of the inside was beautiful. We also had a good old-fashioned porkchop dinner at an out of the way restaurant (Schabowy, see review). Thanks again Greetings From Poland for another great trip. If I come back for a third visit, I will defiantly schedule another one.

Excellent and memorable!

Tomasz at GFP Travel arranged a 7-day Jewish Heritage tour for me, and it was exactly what I wanted. Everything went perfectly! My guide Jacek was knowledgeable and helpful at every point. I was able to see sites of Jewish interest in Warsaw, Kazimierz Dolny, Lancut, Tarnow, and Krakow. Special guides took me through the concentration camps at Majdanek and Auschwitz. Although the tour is filled with tragic history, it was totally memorable and extremely well organized. At every point of the planning in recent months, Tomasz was immediately responsive. Thank you, Tomasz and Jacek!

A Wonderful Polish Experience

Touring in a group of four family members was a wonderful experience. Our main driver, Milosz, was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He welcomed all our questions, which made our experience much more personal. Rafal, who drove the last portion of our trip, showed his own knowledge and love of Zakopane during the time we were there. Both drivers engaged in great conversations with us. In the short time we were with them they gave us a good feel for the history, culture, and people of Poland. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them and appreciated getting to know them. The restaurants they chose for us truly gave us “A Taste of Poland.” I would do it all again if I could.

Poland's history and beauty

GFP provided a beautiful tour of Poland for our family who had gathered from many countries. The cities visited and the accommodations were all enriching. The tour guides and driver did excellent jobs and were much appreciated. We can highly recommend their services. Thank you for a wonderful experience, knowledge gained of our heritage and fun adventures.

The Hotels and the tour guide was good, for the dinner, we all eat out and all the restaurants booked by GFP travel WAS NOT GOOD - we were disappointed the way GFP travel handle - we will never come back with GFP travel again, the the reviews 's good the truth is --- don't let them fool you ---

Hello, Thank you for your post, but it does not reflect the real situation in the restaurant. First of all, your group got there late due to a lack of group coordination on your part, and you may have also had completely different ideas about the menu. We have been providing our travel services for many years, and as you can see those complaining about anything are less than 1% of our customers. In this case, you are writing about restaurants, and I know that this situation occurred in only one of them and was not at fault on our part.

A Perfect 12-Day Grand Tour of Poland

GFP Travel organized an incredible 12 day private tour of Poland for my parents and I. We could not have been more pleased with the itinerary, service, attention to detail and selected hotels included with this tour. We saw so much of the country in a limited amount of time (from the Tatra Mountains in the south to the Baltic Sea in the north); this would not have been possible if the tour was not as coordinated and efficient as it was.

Our personal driver and guide Sebastian was very professional, courteous and ensured that all our needs were met, including restroom and coffee breaks on some of the longer drives. All our local tour guides were exceptional and very knowledgeable about Polish history (Marta in Krakow and Kasia in Warsaw, among others.) More importantly, all guides were very punctual. We never waited for anyone in the morning when it was time to depart for the day.

Also, we really wanted to visit the cemetery where my great-great grandparents are buried. Sebastian called the local tourist information office to contact the church caretaker who walked us right to the grave site when we arrived- a very special moment for us. Through the efforts of GFP Travel we were even introduced to our relatives in Warsaw and met them for a family reunion dinner one night!

I would not hesitate to recommend GFP Travel to anyone interested in touring and exploring the beautiful country of Poland. If you are unsure about which travel company to use, e-mail Mr. Tomasz Dobrowolski with all your questions. His communication and e-mail responses are excellent and he creates an itinerary based upon what you want to see and do. It was the trip of a lifetime to learn about and experience the land of my ancestors. This tour was as close to perfect as can be and Poland will forever be in our hearts because of it.

GFP Is Great

My 78-year-old Mother, 16-year-old daughter and I (a middle-aged guy) wanted to travel to Central Europe. We picked the cities we wanted to visit -- Berlin, Krakow, and Prague -- before we had any idea whether any travel company served those places on one tour. A Google search turned up Greetings From Poland. Was I a bit nervous about using a non-U.S. tour company? Sure. But after my first interaction with Tomasz at GFP, I was put at ease. Tomasz found us great hotels, wonderful English-speaking tour guides in each city and offered great advice on a side trip to Dresden. He patiently answered the 300 questions (roughly) I had before we departed. Given the three generations traveling, we were a hard-to-please bunch. But we were all thrilled with attention we received from GFP and with the results. Truly the trip of a lifetime. As a final note, I know that Poland might not be considered a popular travel destination by U.S. tourists, but our time in Krakow and at the Auschwitz concentration camp was the highlight of our trip. So much history, architecture, culture and food, and at really low prices. I'm now telling all my friends they should go to Poland and use GFP as their tour guide.

Fantastic Tour around Poland

Our experience with GFP Travel was excellent.

I reached out to a few tour agencies in Poland to plan a custom trip. Tomasz at GFP was the only one to come back with an itinerary that incorporated all of our wishes. He was also able to accommodate some of my last minutes changes, and coordinated with a genealogist I had hired to determine which areas we should visit with ancestral ties.

Arriving in Warsaw, we were met by our driver, Kamil, who was so friendly and welcoming. Kamil was with us with the van the entire time, which was so convenient for my 70 year old parents. It made getting around stress free. The van was comfortable and there was plenty of storage and space.

We visited Warsaw, Auschwtitz-Birkenau, Zakopane, Krakow, Torun, Gdansk and Sopot. All the hotels were great, and we especially enjoyed the boutique ones Tomasz chose. All our hotels also featured fantastic breakfasts.

Our tour included one meal a day as well, which was very convenient. We were happy to stick with Polish cuisine, however you could find other options if you had dietary restrictions/preferences.

I'd definitely recommend reaching out to Tomasz at GFP if you are interested in visiting Poland! Thank you for the memorable trip!

GFP - The way to go when visiting Poland

We recently returned home from Poland - a trip arranged through GFP travel. We had a fantastic time. Everything worked out extremely well. From the moment we were met at the Warsaw airport to the moment we were dropped off at the airport in Krakow, everything was great.

In both Warsaw and Krakow, every one of the tour guides was amazing. They were knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and very personable. The hotels were nice and we felt that we were treated as special guests. All of the transfers and tours were on time and were the perfect fit for our trip. We found the trip to be very informative.

Working with Tomasz could not have been easier. All of the arragements were done via email. He paid attention to every detail: tranasfers, hotel, train tickets from Warsaw to Krakow, various tours and flight details. To say we got the right value for the money spent on the trip would be an extreme understatement. We highly recommend that anyone traveling to Poland take a look at GFP.

10-day excursion throughout Polska

Following initial contact with and reading reviews of GFP Travel, we selected them to plan our journey to the homeland of four grandparents. Tomasz Dobrowolski was our representative and remained so throughout our collaborative planning and finalization process. He most thoroughly exemplified the reviews that we had read, and he did so by his eminent patience, responsiveness to our particular requests and expectations, and detailed communication. We could not have chosen better!
As examples, the hotels in Warsaw and Krakow that he recommended and that we selected were most welcoming in their comfortable accommodations and certainly in their convenient locations.
Also, when we determined that we wanted to visit known associates in a small village, he, of course, worked such an experience into our itinerary.
He astutely selected Igor was our driver/guide who was highly skilled as he maneuvered the highways and streets of cities and towns, combined with his knowledge of sites and outstanding restaurants. We shared languages, each learning something from the other. Also, supplementing the experience, were tours provided in individual cities by other expert guides: Dagmara, Marta, and Monica. Again, no better choices!
GFP and particularly in the person of Tomasz stands out for us as highly recommended as we experienced its quality services.
