    Happiness for all ages
The video about the Black Necked Cranes was very informative. The only sad part was that we arrived at the wrong time of the year. We could not see the cranes live in action. The valley itself was peace personified. It was worth traveling all the way to Phobjikha

    Black Necked Cranes
Unfortunately, we were in the Phobjikha valley too early to see the black necked cranes in the valley. At the centre they have two that have been injured and are unable to fly, so they are looked after in a large caged area. There is a short video telling the story of the cranes and a small display. Well worth a visit.

Information about the cranes plus two to see close-up.
The centre has a video presentation giving information about the cranes and there migration. There are also two cranes that were injured being cared for in the centre. When we were there it looked like their enclosure was being extended. We did see several Black Necked Cranes in the area and flying around. They were just arriving at that time.

There is just one black neck crane to see but the video is really well done. The one in the cage was injured so they have it locked in so that a predator cannot attack it. Interesting place to visit when in Bhutan.

I really enjoyed this place! I liked learning about the cranes and what they are doing to keep them safe. There are two injured cranes on site that you can see, they are beautiful!

Encouraging to see the efforts made to protect this amazing crane. Loved watching the dance of the ones they keep at the center due to injury.

This is a govt setup information centre for the black necked cranes. They show a very informative documentary about the migratory black necked cranes and the various steps Bhutan govt and people are taking to preserve the species. We can see the cranes through binoculars places in the information centre.

Grate initiative to save black neck cranes. It's like a research center. You can get more information.
Unfortunately we were in a off season. So we couldn't see them
