The worst experience ever!!!
Jul 2020 • Couples
I'm 48 and this was the worst holidays ever!!!
With the covid lockdown measures, even in the beach you have to ridiculous wear mask.
Fortunately i didn't felt like violating the Spanish law because 99% of the people didn't wear it too.

Beautiful Island
Jun 2019
My wife and I have visited Vigo on a number of occasions and finally managed to visit the Cies Islands this summer and we are glad we did.
The boat trip there is fantastic but when you reach the islands you are in for an even bigger treat. Lovely beaches, great walks and views from the cliff tops and also feeling very close to nature and the power of the sea as the Atlantic Ocean crashes into the islands on the west coast.
Our only mistake was that we did book a later ferry for our return journey and we would have liked to stay longer and explore the islands further.

A pearl in the Atlantic

I really enjoyed Cíes. Nice trails with amazing view points.
Even in higher season I didn’t feel it was packed af all and I could have my own relaxed space/area.

Lots of walking and beautiful views
Sep 2019
It's a beautiful place and the weather is pretty nice. I arrived there in one of the first boats and left in one of the lasts this allowed me to visit all the different island landmarks and have some extra time to enjoy the beach in the end. Food is a bit expensive so I would recommend taking something to eat for a day trip and a bottle of water (There are pkaces where you can fill it up if you finish it, and trust me you will). I would say the walking is rough and some tracks have no shade so do keep that in mind but all in all every step is worth it.

Galicia Highlight
Sep 2019
Found ourselves with an afternoon to kill in Vigo and chose to do something that turned out to be the highlight of our trip. The 45 min ferry to Islas Cies is worth every cent. Beautiful islands.Spend a day taking in fantastic coastal views from various hiking trails.

Perfect if you like seagulls & rats
Aug 2019 • Couples
I am really disappointed on Las Islas Cies, perhaps my expectations were too high.

First of all, the seagulls get really annoying, you can easily get 10 or 15 around you as soon as you open a bag of crisps - or any other food.

Then there are way too many rats around, dead and alive. It must be a problem in the island as you can see traps around.

However the main issue is that the island is really small, you can see it all in less than 3 hours. Swimming in the sea is only possible if you are a viking, as the water is wayyyy to cold. So not much to do.

The campside is tacky, stinky and with the worse food I ever had. If you are unluky and have a snorer in the next tend you won't sleep.

In short I felt trap on the island and went ahead and got an earlier boat to escape to mainland Galician, which is exceptionally beautyfull.

If you really must see it, get the boat and go for the day - bring your own food as theirs is real bad.

It's truly galician pearl of nature. Unique place, very nice beaches. Best to visit in August. One of the best things to visit in Galicia!

Lovely island although can get busy

Good place to visit - bring you own boat if you can and head to the southern beaches which are much quieter.

Be sure you have the weather on your side!
Aug 2019 • Couples
The Island was beautiful even though I couldnt see/enjoy much of the view as the weather was really not with me, as it rained a lot and was very windy. So I will have to do ‘a do-over’ one sunny day, as I do believe that the views from the top of the different hiking points most be beautiful. At least that is what I have seen other people post. I am posting a few of the pictures from the extreme weather experience. Even though it felt like I was going to fly away, due to the hard wind, I still think it was fun adventures experience.

Amazing day out for Vigo
Aug 2019 • Friends
This is a great find and amazing day out! The ferry takes about 45 mins and I suggest you arrive early (with ticket) as there was a queue and this will impact where you can sit on the boat which is first come first serve seating. The island is amazing with hiking and beaches. Water is cold but not too bad! While there are two places to eat, I suggest you bring your own food! No rubbish can be left which makes it great!
