Something to do on a wild and windy Thursday in July. Rather than have all 19th century artefacts sitting in a museum, the organisers of the site have tried to recreate a flavor of the gold-rush boom town. So, there is the main house, jammed...More

We stopped here on a whim because we were in the area and it was raining. Admission was around $10 and it was worth the money. They had an old house filled with historical artifacts of the Gold Rush era. Outside you can explore the...More

The historic site is a great stop in the Fraser Canyon. Admission is a reasonable $10 and a good look about an hour or two although if you walk around town that will take longer. A lot of the buildings have largely been recreated except...More

A wonderful place to stop and check out if you're interested in a piece of BC history, or history in general. Reasonable prices for admission, and well maintained. Interactive tents for the kids and gold panning to try out (although we forget how!). I advise...More

This place is chock full of local history and the admission price is very reasonable. Especially enjoyed the incredibly detailed stories of the amazing women pioneers who populated this quaint place. Great place to stop on your way to or from Hope.

Highly recommend this place. The indoor museum was well laid out and very informative and the outdoor tents in the tent city were so interesting! We have been to many museums and none of them ever let you go up and touch the artifacts, but...More

Better than I expected. The whole town is historic, and there is a walking tour (which can be a driving tour if you prefer) of the town. But the fee section is small (equivalent to three or four building lots), and contains most of the...More

The museum helps you to take a step back in time to experience very slightly, what it would have been like to live there when it was settled. The people working there were very friendly.

An interesting insight of the life and times from the gold rush days. They have recreated what life must have been like which was quite harsh. Worth the stop on the way through on you trip. Nothing else in Yale though.
