This was our third stop along highway 112, the first two were the Albany Covered Bridge and the Lower Falls. Although we enjoyed walking on the rocks at the Lower Falls, this stop had very nice scnery with the gorge along the rock walls and forest. The foot bridge over the gorge was also rather nice. Definetely worth a stop.

This was a highlight for us. We did a short hike around falls pond and then spent some time on the rocks taking in the sights and sounds. We were here mid morning and there were only 4-5 other cars. We were fortunate enough to get photos with no people in them… Awesome day!

Good trip. We arrived at approximately 4 pm and made our way to the entrance of the trail. It was a short easy hike to the gorge, and along the way we encountered several plaques that detailed the history of the gorge, as well as the surrounding scenery. We saw water cascading over rocks, as well as a bridge that had beautiful views of the gorge from both sides. A short hike further, we saw a beautiful clean pond that was surrounded by nature.

Tip: I recommend spending 30 minutes here if you truly want to see everything.

Along the way, the next stop was Rocky Gorge. We parked our car and it's just a couple of minutes' walk. it was not summer, so we walked in the gorge and took some pictures. The Fall tree colors were awesome.

Swimming is not allowed at the Rocky Gorge scenic area because of the force of the river flowing through the narrow gorge, which has been carved by glaciers. This is a short paved trail to a bridge looking over the beautiful Rocky Gorge. There are restrooms at the trailhead.

Could have stayed here all day enjoying the river and listening to the water. Easy paved walk until the brigde that crosses the river. Other side of bridge is a nice looped trail that travels around fall pond.

There is a foot bridge over the Swift River that is an easy walk from the parking lot. The foot trail to the bride is paved most of the way.
There is no entry fee to any of the sites along the Kanc, but parking permits can be bought in each parking lot.

We visited this attraction along “The Kanc” on an unseasonably warm, beautiful sunny Wednesday in October. The parking lot was full, but people came and went frequently, so we didn't have much of a wait to find a parking spot at 3:15 p.m. It doesn't take long to just view the Gorge, allow 15 minutes or less. Many people were lounging on the rocks in the sun, and cooling their feet in the water. But if you are interested in an easy, less than 1 mile loop walk, to have some solitude away from the crowds, then continue over the Gorge on the footbridge and up the path to the start of the Lovequist Loop Trail. We took the trail clockwise (to the left) around Falls Pond. On the other side of the Pond we were able to take some nice photos of the reflections of the trees in the Pond, particularly nice with the fall colors. There were a couple of very muddy spots on the trail toward the end of the loop. We spent 25 minutes walking the loop and taking pictures.

This trip was amazing! It was a cold, windy day though. It was a little frightening on the bridge though. I believe the trails went to a beautiful pond.

I'm not quite sure why this is a "reviewable" place, as it's a naturally formed area. I have, however, loved it for my whole life although I wish it were still not so "known" as an "attraction". Just too many people there at any given time!

There were no listings for the Swift Water Covered Bridge and the Albany Covered Bridge, but they're within the Rocky Gorge Scenic area. There are plenty of beautiful sights and things to do including hiking and camping.
