The gallery hosts the artwork of local Californian artists, some of them live as close as in Big Sur. I was enchanted by the wood sculptures of artist Terry Kuntz.

After dining at Nephente, stop at this gallery. Make sure not to miss the metal mobile just before entering the gallery and walk around the garden to admire the other pieces of artwork. Inside you will find painting, sculptures, carvings and so on. Worth a visit!

The Hawthorne Gallery is a must-see for art-lovers and novices alike. The artistic and delightful Shelby Hawthorne provided our tour. The exquisite architecture of the gallery alone is stunning, not to mention all of the wonderful artifacts contained within AND outdoors. If only there were a Hawthorne Gallery where I reside....

We love this gallery and the folks who run it! The art is world class and always changes each year we visit. The owners are wonderful and the gallery itself is a work of art. This is a must visit if you are in the area and a reason itself to visit!
