I did two days of diving with the staff at WetSet. On day one we did 2 dives off of the reef and on day two we went diving at Cenote Chac Mool.We had only planned on diving for one day but the experience was so great we changed our plans and decided to add another day of diving. Here are the highlights:
- our guide on the first day was Claire and on the second day our guide was Felicity. Both Claire and Felicity are PADI Dive Instructors and not just Divemasters. Many others shops will send you out with just a divemaster which is great, but it says a lot about their dedication to the profession to staff so many instructors.
- dive conditions at the reef were not ideal because of the weather, but Claire made amazing adjustments to the dive plan to make sure that we had safe and enjoyable dives despite the challenging conditions in the water. Even with lower visibility and a slight surge we still saw many amazing marine creatures thanks to Claire.
- if you Scuba Dive then you simply must experience a Cenote dive. And if you want to dive a Cenote then you really need to have Felicity be your guide. She has a passion for Cenote diving and in addition she has so much respect for the historical and ecological significance of the sites. This was my first experience with this type of dive and it was exciting but also a little intimidating. I have never felt safer in my life diving than I have with Felicity. It was the dive of a lifetime thanks to Felicity.
The shop owner is Stafford. He spent a significant amount of time with me answering my questions, giving me some instructional advice on ways to fine tune my diving fundamentals. He is dedicated to making sure his clients have an amazing experience.
I would recommend them to anyone, but most importantly they are who I would want the people that I love the most to dive with.

The staff at Wet Set was very quick to respond to our emails while we were planning our trip. The instructors that lead you on the dives are all very experienced divers who love what they do and their passion is contagious.
We are PADI certified advanced divers and we also used this opportunity to get Nitrox certified with the Wet Set team. Claire's instruction on Nitrox diving was clear and she asked us a lot of questions to make sure that we had read the material and absorbed all of the information before our dives. Wet Set provided us with all of the PADI coursework material needed for our training. It was clear to me that this team knows how to guide and train divers at many different levels. Not only did we enjoy some fun dives but we also advanced our education during our vacation!
Our first day of diving included the Aquarium and the Fish Market sites. We brought our own gear except for tanks, weights, and wetsuits. The team at Wet Set set everything up and carried all of the gear down to the boat for us. Instructions were always very clear. We saw beautiful fish in all colors swimming around the reef. After the dives, we enjoyed fresh fruit and planned another dive experience with Wet Set for the following day. We were not planning to dive the next day, but we had such a good time that we decided to try diving a cenote with them the following day.
On Day two, Felicity took us out to Chac Mool. If you have never seen what it looks like to scuba dive in a cenote, search for pictures of this site. It is absolutely amazing. The cave structures, fossils, and the light shining in from above make this one of the most beautiful locations I have ever seen. It was an unforgettable experience and I can't wait to do dive a cenote again the next time I am in Puerto Morelos.

I contacted Wet Set after looking at reviews on Trip Advisor, and they did not disappoint!
I worked with Felicity to coordinate Advanced Open Water Certification for my boyfriend and I. She was super communicative and answered all of my questions. We didn't have any doubts that we would have an amazing experience. They worked with us as we brought some of our own equipment. Their equipment is from quality brands and up to date (weight integrated BCDs, etc).
We had planned for 2 boat dives and 1 shore dive on day 1. There was a swimming competition, so getting out to the first dive site took significantly longer than it usually would. During that time, we also had some motor issues, so the guides decided to make some location adjustments to reduce the travel time. We really appreciated the adjustment in order to get us into the water sooner.
Day 2 included the wreck dive, and a reef dive. If you have AOW, I highly recommend the C-56 wreck dive. We saw a Loggerhead Turtle, a large Sting Ray, Eagle Rays and various fish, besides being in awe of a huge minesweeper ship at the bottom of the ocean.
The boat captains, other guides and the dive group we were with were knowledgable, courteous and helpful.
We opted to pay extra for a private dive guide (which is just something that we prefer to do for ease and quality of experience). Guillermo was and amazing guide!
After talking to Guillermo and some of the other divers on the boat, we wanted to dive cenotes with Wet Set, but unfortunately, they didn't have availability in the timeframe that we needed. So book ahead to make sure you're able to do everything that you want to.

Why go diving with the same shop for the third time? Excellent Service, great dives, friendly, helpful, patient and qualified. I was greeted by name upon arrival and surrounded in an atmosphere that made you feel at home. Felicity took care of the sign in while Connie prepped my kit and transferred to the boat. After the pre dive brief we headed out for a short ride. Prior to rolling in Connie went through the dive check which was appreciated so nothing was missed. While in the water she remained attentive and also pointed out several different species, the ones I would normally swim right past without seeing. After the first dive she professionally passed on a few helpful tips to help with air consumption which made for a full second dive. The entire staff just makes you feel comfortable and relaxed which made for a great experience for me and my daughter. I look forward to our next three dives in only a couple days (first night dive coming up)

Traveling to Puerto Morelos for a wedding during Covid was an adventure and a challenge. Since we were going we decided to add on some diving. I did research on dive shops close to our hotel. Wet Set Diving stood out above the rest, great reviews, so started to communicate with them. They were always very responsive to all my questions. Upon arriving, we ventured on over to the shop. The team was the best! Friendly, conscientious and above all concerned for everyone's safety. Even with the uncertain weather we got in six dives. The team helped with our equipment, loading and unloading the boat, provided towels, water and snacks. We decided to get Nitrox certified while we were there - that worked out great for us all. We dove the first day around the local reef area. The second day we did the WWII C-56 shipwreck, this is one that should not be missed. On our last dive day it was super windy so dove Cenotes. We did Chac Mool and Little Brother. If you get a chance to dive Cenotes do so. They are a whole other experience that you do not want to miss, plus Felicity our dive guide provided us with the best sandwiches ever. All and all our group had a great experience with the Wet Set team. They treated us like family! Make sure to check them out if you are thinking of diving in the Puerto Morelos, you will not be disappointed Thanks to all of you. Stay healthy and safe.

Having two young children, we booked a very reasonably priced private snorkeling tour with Wet Set. Booking with Felicity was super easy and she kept us updated as weather conditions changed. Unfortunately the day of our tour winds were too high to snorkel and the port closed. We greatly appreciate their communication and prompt refunding of fees. We will definitely use Wet Set the next time we are in the area.

I had a great week scuba diving with Wet Set Diving! I selected the "Long weekend" scuba diving package and absolutely loved it. Felicity runs a tight ship to make sure evrything goes according to plan and makes sure everyone is having fun as well! I had a bunch of random problems with my own personal scuba diving gear and she helped me out to fix them, a real pro ;)
Ale and Dave were great dive guides for me. They took their time and they made sure we could enjoy our dives at our own pace. Loved the C-56 wreck and had the longest night dive right in front of the shop!
My boyfriend is certified but hadn't been diving in a long time and he was a bit stressed to dive again. We had the chance to have Chris as an instructor for his "refresher"dive. He was extremely patient with him and it made us feels really confortable and safe.
One of the highlights of our stay in the Yucatan peninsula was our day in the cenotes with Guillermo. I initially wasn't sure I felt the most confortable diving in cenotes (I don't like feeling closed in), but he went out of his way to make sure I felt confortable. He is super knowledgeable regarding the Yucatan's cenotes and it truly shows that he is a passionate! You won't regret adding some cenotes to your diving trip!
All in all, I really recommending diving with Wet Set, they are real professional but they are flexible and make sure everyone is having fun (and stays safe!).

Our group of 6 went snorkeling with Alejandro as our guide and Alejandra as our photographer. Both were amazing. In our 2 45 minute swims we saw many fish and the photos captured a wonderful day of memories. You could tell they loved their jobs and cared to make our time memorable.
Felicity was a fun and helpful host before and after our experience. They helped arrange transportation back to our resort.

We have been coming to Puerto Morelos for the last 10 years and have always dove with WetSet. It is a great operation, from the people to the care and attention to the equipment to the amazing dives. Every time we come back, we are treated liked family.
When we stay in Puerto Morelos, we have either stated at Playasol condos, which are right next door to the shop or at casabandidos.com, a lovely house a few doors down, that accommodates our party of 7 easily. Either way, we stay close to WetSet!
We also spend a lot of time at Don Ernesto's, the restaurant right by WetSet. They provide a 20% discount with a card from WetSet and we're always ready for some tasty drinks and some ceviche after a dive.

Hello, I am looking for diving for both myself and my dad. I have advanced open water certification thru PADI and am interested in doing the "peak performance buoyancy" and the "drift diver" certification. How much would that cost and how long would those take?
Also, my dad is completing the elearning for PADI open water, and he needs his open water dives and any other training that is not included in the elearning. Can he do that with you guys? Again, how much will it cost and how many days?
