About Rancho Bonanza
A unique and exciting way to get in touch of the true nature of the Mayan Riviera is on the back of a horse combined with a Cenote swim. We have healthy, well trained horses appropriate for first timers, novice and intermediate riders. Our tours are semi-private consisting of groups up to 12 riders, ensuring that everyone receives personal attention from our friendly, knowledgeable guides. We are located in a very convenient location between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. During the trail ride be ready to spot various species of birds, iguanas, butterflies and eventually spider monkeys and coatis; our guides will give you an interesting and entertaining commentary along the trails while you pass by a local plantation and follow the path that will lead you to visit a deep natural pit or sinkhole -characteristic of Mexico- resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. We will then remount and head back to the ranch, where at the end of the ride you will be given an opportunity to take a refreshing swim in our open air Cenote and enjoy some cool refreshments.Private tours can be offered for advanced riders upon request. Please do not forget to bring bug spray, sunscreen, closed toe shoes , bathing suit & towel and be ready to enjoy a different way to spend your day. WIFI es available on site.

The best experience while here. This is a must for people who want to see the rain forest while enjoying a relaxing horseback ride. First time riders will enjoy it as well. My husband has never rode before and he was able to feel at ease with his horse. Going down a trail that was shaded by the forest leaves so don’t worry about baking in the sun!! It was followed by a cenote that is beautiful. The best!!

This excursion was exceptional! Alma and the rest of the staff were wonderful. I went in only expecting a horseback riding tour through the jungle and left with so much more. The trails, the history lesson, the laughs, the cenote swim, and the horses were all amazing.

We had the best time on our trail ride through the jungle! We even saw monkeys swinging through the trees! Alma and Luis were excellent guides. They were informative and fun and they made our experience a memorable one. My husband had only ever been on a horse once before but he felt very comfortable by the time the ride was over. This was by far our favorite activity that we did while at the resort. We're glad we did the morning ride as it does get quite hot by the afternoon. Overall an amazing experience and we can't recommend it enough!

This is a wonderful experience for those who are newer and experienced to horseback riding. We appreciated all of the safety steps the staff took for COVID. Alma and the crew at Bonanza Ranch were knowledgeable, informative, and loads of fun. We were able to learn some very interesting history of the Mayan culture.
