Wonderful diving with a great captain and dive master!

I did two dives with this company and really enjoyed it! I stayed at the Excellence Riveria and they picked me up in the dive boat and then dropped me off afterwards for a small fee. I was only gone for a few hours. They made it easy for us, they connected our bcd to to our tank and replaced the tank after the first dive. We saw lots of fish, eagle rays, sting rays, lion fish, parrot fish, and many others. I would recommend this dive company to anybody in the area! Next time I come back I will go through them again!

Choose Ruben and you will not regret it

I am so glad we went diving with Ruben and his team. If you can get to Puerto Morelos by taxi or car, choose this and not the big tour companies. This will be less expensive, you will have an hour of great snorkeling and they'll even give you tips about the town.

His business is out of a small building attached to a hotel and only steps from the water where the boat is docked.

Thanks for the great experience Ruben.

I just got my PADI open water certification with them and I couldn't recommend this dive shop enough!

Everyone on Dive with Ruben's team is super professional, yet warm and friendly. You will feel right at home from the beginning! Ruben was so nice providing the manual in the language of my choice, so I could feel as comfortable as possible while getting prepared for the exam. I really appreciate that! Abi is always super caring and sweet organizing my schedule according to my needs and the best weather. You will feel well taken care of with her! Armando and Oscar are so kind and always ready to help! My instructor, Rene, is simply amazing! I had some trouble getting comfortable underwater and he was absolutely incredible in helping me to build up the confidence I needed to have a fun and memorable experience. He is super knowledgeable and passionate about his work, and I couldn't ask for a better instructor! With his patience and dedication, he not only taught me the technical skills I needed but also gave me a lot of support and encouragement so I could fully enjoy what I now consider one of the most incredible experiences of my life, discovering the wonders of the underwater world! If I could give them more stars, I would! :) I'll definitely keep diving with them for as long as I'm in Puerto Morelos!

I did my PADI open water cert at Dive with Ruben. Definitely one of the best experience in my life :-) My dive instructor Ramiro was absolutely amazing, I felt extremely comfortable and safe all the way. Very professional training, and also the diving site is just beautiful. For all those reasons I would definitely recommend Dive with Ruben to anyone willing to have a safe, beautiful and not mass-tourist like adventure underwater. Thank you Ruben and Ramiro for your excellent work!

Best snorkelling trip ever

We went on a scuba tour with Lucky (aka Ricardo), and it was a fantastic experience. He is very knowledgeable about the reef and marine life in the area, and his love and enthusiasm for the ocean was palpable. We saw sting rays and a spotted eagle ray, and Ricardo held each person’s hand so we could have a chance to swim with them as they moved along the ocean floor. If you’ve seen the movie “My Octopus Teacher,” Ricardo is My Stingray Teacher - he actually knows the individual rays in the area and even has a favourite! He has a great sense of humour but is also very much professional. He takes the health and protection of the reef very seriously. I would highly recommend this shop and especially Ricardo!

Ruben is everything that you need from a great Divemaster, he's responsible, thorough, caring and prepared. I went with Ruben on a bull shark dive in Playa Del Carmen. It was an amazing experience and everything felt as safe as possible. Good equipment and great experience.

Finally started diving again after a several year hiatus. Dive with Ruben and its owner Ruben Rosales came highly recommended so I gave them a try. The dive shop is located along side Hotel Gota de Sal. Ruben was friendly from the get-go and set me up for a refresher dive course in the pool with Dive Master Romé (Romero) who was super friendly and patient. After easing back into the water we headed out for a two tank dive. The dive boat was simple but clean and well maintained. All the gear needed was provided and in very good condition. The diving was fantastic and just as I remembered. There were only two of us plus Romé which was a huge plus! The conditions were great - lots of sun, swell wasn't too bad (though I still got seasick), water clarity was super with plenty of visibility. I will be returning in a few months and want o get my son and his buddy SCUBA diving starting their foray into the underwater world at Dive with Ruben and the awesome crew! ALSO, on a day our plans went south, Ruben helped us with a driver and a day at several cenotes in the area. He was super kind and went out of his way to make sure our day wasn't a bust... had my friends been divers we would have been on a boat blowing bubbles. If you are considering diving while in Puerto Morelos - GO SEE RUBEN!

Incredible Diving

10/10. Adrian was one of the best dive masters I’ve ever encountered in over 100 dives. He was professional, safe, friendly, knowledgeable, communicative, and overall just an amazing, fun, and interesting guy. My fiancé and I had an amazing day diving in cenotes, learning about ecological and geological wonders. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. Our driver Armando was a gem, cracking jokes, helping with gear, and getting us safely around the area. We can’t wait to return for more. Thank you!!

Excellent diving operation and guides

Fantastic cenote dives! We were going to do 2 reef dives the first day, then 2 cenote dives the next but the reef dives were cancelled the morning of due to bad weather. It was very windy and Ruben said the port was closed, quite understandable. The cenote dives we’re still a-go though, and well worth the money! Reasonably priced, safety-focused, and personable, trustworthy guides. Alan and Armando took us to Chac-mool and Little Brothers; both were beautiful and unique experiences. Felt like we were in competent hands the whole time. We’ll be back!

Snorkeling & Cenote tours

We booked two tours with “dive with Ruben”.
We did a snorkeling tour on the reef just outside of Puerto Morelos and then we booked a cenote tour with Zapote Cenote Eco Park through Ruben and Abi. both were well run & great experiences. Highly recommend this company!
