This was our first visit and we were in when the restaurant was relatively quiet.Trying to engage staff in a conversation fell on stony ground which given the very few people around was surprising.
The food was very good excellent chicken and the same can be said of the fish but the atmosphere was lacking totally. .We noticed lots of people coming in to the bar area with dogs so perhaps this is where it was all happening but being a person who does not wish to share his night out with dogs that was not our ideal. Not a venue we would readily return to

Steak was not good quality, reminded me of a hungry horse / weatherspoons / campsite eatery which is a shame as the setting is gorgeous and staff very attentive.

We were fortunate enough to get a table at short notice on a Thursday evening while staying in Mevagissey. We were delighted with the friendly service and the food was exceptional. We liked it so much we returned on the Friday evening! We again experienced more great food and hospitality.
We wish this pub was near us so that we could visit often.

We just stopped as we drove past after a very wet and windy walk. However, a glance at the menu enticed us in. A great decision! The three course lunch was wonderful - morgy broth & mackerel / hake / pork belly - all with lovely accompaniments and individual touches. Excellent value and lovely service - well worth a visit. Nicely decorated too.

We were served two great meals in pleasant surroundings. My steak was succulent and tasty, my wife really enjoyed the courgette risotto. The service was like a breath of fresh air. Ten out of 10!

After such a great evening last night , tonight was totally different. We were served at the bar by a very pleasant member of staff only to be shown to our table by totally inept waitresses. They knew nothing about the food, didn't check on us at all during our meal or offer us any further drinks ,desert or coffees. They spent the whole time we were there giggling and chatting in the corner.May I suggest you get your fantastic Friday waitresses to train your useless Saturday waitresses

Arrived just before 2pm, told food was available until 14:30 then ordered and got wrong food; a side salad instead of Caesar salad main, when complained immediately at 14:35 were told the chefs didn't care and wouldn't give my husband a main meal as they had turned off the ovens, we tried twice!
My 'all veggie burger' contained goats cheese and was sloppy and not nice enough to be edible, served alongside mayo and some white cabbage parading as coleslaw and some salad so coated in thick sweet dressing rendering that too inedible, oh did I mention the sweet potato soggy fries? They were equally cooked in dirty oil and undercooked at the same time. I have never written a review before but feel compelled to as this place was such a letdown on our very rare family trip out for lunch. They only had one child seat too and couldn't care less is was taken, so, thanks for nothing and I would advise people to pack a picnic or head to nearby Heligan!
