Bungonia Gorge Trail, Mass Cave and Grill Cave!
Jan 2021 • Couples
We did the Bungonia Gorge Trail and stopped over to Mass and Grill Cave!
This hike in our opinion almost on par with Carnarvon Gorge in central QLD.

Although beautiful and picturesque this hike is not suitable for the faint of heart. Please only attempt the caves if you have appropriate equipments such a head torch etc.

This is a GRADE 5 track that has a very long, steep and slippery slope going into and out of the gorge and the centre is unmarked trail that requires you to scale over, under and between bus size boulders. Please do not attempt this hike unless you are an experienced hiker and do your research first.

There are also some easier hikes and lookouts in the area as well besides this one which are family friendly 😀

Easy Bushwalk for little legs

We spent a couple of hours here with our kids, 5 & 7. The Lookdown was a great thrill to get our visit started! We then did the white track to Mt Ayre lookout and rested at beautiful view of the Shoalhaven. About 1hr return for us. We'll be back!

I love this park! Not crowded. Recommended. You must be in good shape to pass the whole trail. Very hard.

Bungonia is the best
Dec 2018 • Friends
This national park is just terrific. Just today we completed a canyon trip down Bungonia Creek. The fact the national park contains this amazing wonder is a huge plus for it. There is a campground with a camp kitchen, toilets and showers and other facilities. The ranger headquarters requires you to sign in if you do some adventurous activity. It's not as popular as it should be.

Small but beautiful!

Bungonia is a very accessible National Park (NP) and offers a well equipped campsite with showers and toilets. There are some very nice walks in the area and the red track is my most favourite so far!
