Driving from Guadalajara the ranch is just before Tequila in Amatitan. We went on a weekday and had a private tour because we were the only ones there! We were delightfully surprised at how much we enjoyed our afternoon at Herradura. They provide a very...More

Herradura distillery was founded about 1870. The grounds around the distillery compound are kept well maintained and are very picturesque. Tours cost 250-350 pesos depending on the tastings. The better tequilas are poured at the higher price.

Casa Herradura is reachable by public bus from Guadalajara. Go to Central Camionera Vieja (Antigua Camionera, the old bus station not far from downtown). Take the QUICK bus (1 way around MXN 84) to Amatitan. Or take the Tequila Express bus. They both stop at...More

A wonderful tour with knowledgeable guide. We learned a lot of the history of Herradura and the process of creating the fine product and scaling it. Definitely worthy the trip. Buy before you hit the airport (twice the price)

The Tequila Train only runs on weekends. We had a car but Uber is a fantastic option and is very reasonable. It is actually in Amatitlan, not Tequila, so it is a little bit closer to Guadalajara.
Two of us are planning on visiting Herradura Tequila on a Sunday morning around 10am. I wanted to know if they'd be open on a Sunday? Do we have to be with a tour group or make a reservation?

When I was there, the tour started at 10 or 10:15AM. Maybe you want to arrive before 10am?
