Situated in the interiors of Hebri . 14km from the city. One can take cabs or buses from this city. Road to the falls is pathetic. Bigger cars or vans can easily go. Not suitable for 2 Wheeler. Unless u r a pro.
After reaching the entrance. One should take the tickets and trek 2.5 -3 kms inside the jungle.
The way isn't straight and is not easy. Snakes, leeches may be present. Be careful.
Lot of ups and downs are there.
The falls is just amazing. Not so deep also.
Be careful about the slippery rocks.
Really good. Chilling Water is just lovely.
One can easily stand directly under the falls.
Good stamina and interest should be there.
Go for it. In d end, it's worth it.

Its nearly a heavenly spot for the teenagers. One must trek before you reach the spot. Once you reach, the whole tiredness will be gone.

There's a long way to the place..road is in a pathetic state.with only one side serving the purpose due to maintenance..they charge you the entry fees and the parking fees( though the boards clearly states the parking is free) and after which the trek begins.it's a one with moderate difficulty with the concrete steps making the job even tough( may not be the case in monsoon) .after a strenuous trek you will reach this heavenly place..where u get to stand just under the falls or swim in the water or even just sit back on the rock and enjoy the beautiful waterfall...
Rocks are extremely slippery and please don't dive into the water..

Awesome place, its like 40 kms from Manipal, the party town in coastal Karntaka.
After my regular activity of taking some pics of the beautiful location, I finally decided to get into water, on force, if not I had to hurt myself. Half the way to the base of the water falls the water was not deep at all. I decided to swim as I couldn't miss the opportunity to stand below the water falls. Finally i made it to the bottom of the water falls and it was out of the world experience. It’s any water fall you get under it; you forget the world around you. It’s always amazing to go for a trek and spend most of the time enjoying in water. This was a splendid moment with Manipal folks. It was an awesome trek and a road trip which every one should try once.
Trek Time(30 mins)-Please carry food and disposal bag with you.
Kindly dont litter.

We visited this falls in Jan 2019 just after the rain. The entry to falls open at 9 am. 50 rs per adult. 300 rs for camera with lens. From the entry point the fall is around 1.2 kms. It takes around 30 mins for the trek. It would be tricky during rains as leeches are expected. though the water incoming is reduced still the fall looked mejastic, since we went on weekday early morning we had the entire fall for us for around couple of hours. The rocks are slippery. exercise caution.
there are lot of butterfly activity there. As my friend taken pictures of several butterflies, I can see we were able to see Tamil lace swing, Malabar tree nymph (flies slowly as it is venomous, no birds dare touch it) etc here.

the trek itself doesnt take too long, but you have to be careful, as you have to cross two streams, where the rocks underneath are very slippery. and if your shoes get wet, then the rest of the trek you will have to o in wet shoes which can be very uncomfortable. remove your shoes and socks, wear them again when you get to the other side. at some places there are manmade concrete steps (they charge an entry fee of rs 50 per person) theres no food or water available once you start the trek. the last point to purchase thins is at the car park. the falls itself had plenty of water at this time of the year, and yet with the monsoons being over, the trek wasnt too slippery so we could do it without injury or leeches. after the trek once you reach the waterfall, you cant wait to jump in and cool off, but again be careful, as at some points the rocks underneath are very slippery. water is shallow at most points, until you decide to stand right underneath the falls, which falls with a great force, and can be very painful. otherwise there are lots of people playing int he water surrounding the falls. is relatively safe. theres no dedicated place to change clothes, nor to keep your belongings should your entire party decide to jump in at once. there are no loos either.

The waterfall is only visible when you reach very close to the waterfall. The view is spectacular with mountains on three sides. One can pretty much walk upto the falling water in the pond. An experience once can never miss. I was surprised to see the water running even at the end of December.

The trip from Jog falls to Sringeri via Agumbe was simply amazing. My trip was during the first week of June and the rains have just started pouring in. The place is covered by strong clouds and driving through the clouds will give you a fascinating experience.

This depends on rainy season. Else you will not even find a drop of water. In June, when I went, it was a very thin water fall.
