I visited this museum in october 2011 and I didn't find it particularly nice. The ticket was quite expensive as always in Sweden and I wasn't impressed. The best part of the museum is the sculpture garden which has nice works of arts and nature, therefore I recommend you to during the spring/summer.

You really must go to Millesgarden in Stockholm. The sculptures and the house are so amazing. We were there on January 1 and the weather was terrible...the stones in the garden were icy, and it was so cold. But, the view was amazing and the house also.

It's the home of the great Swedish artist Carl Milles. He spent a lot of time in Italy and loved it very much, so he tried to build his own 'Italy' in Stockholm. His scultpoures are amazing, the whole atmosphere they create. It's a very nice place to spend your free time, enjoying the scenery.

The last two years we have spent a late autumn afternoon at Millesgården and both times have enjoyed the experience very much, leaving invigorated and refreshed! It is an extraordinarily inspiring environment with many amazing art deco style sculptures with an amazing view of the ocean, the garden and trees are also very beautiful, especially with the rich autumn colours.... His art floats in the air. You must walk among the statues to truly appreciate Milles' romance with grace and motion.

Catch the red line to Ropsten and then catch one of the buses across the river to Lidingo and youll soon be at Millesgarden, a showcase of incredible sculptures and beautiful views. I actually cannot believe Carl Milles lived here, it is a piece of heaven! Well worth the entrance fee, however the restaurant is a little bit pricey. Definitely... More

When you’re mentally and physically tired of museums and palaces, the Millesgarden is the ideal place for you to recharge your batteries. It’s an easy bus ride to the edge of the city. Take the number 201, 202, 204, 205 or 206 bus to the Torsvikstorg station. If you have any doubts, ask the bus driver and tell him/her that... More

This is a great destination if you have access to a car. It's a little bit of a trip outside the city, but it's certainly something you can do in a half day. The grounds of Millesgården are beautiful, and compliment the sculpture garden and city views. The sculptures are pretty impressive in size, but also in proportion. We paired... More
