Millesgården is an amazing place to visit. Highly recommended! They had the Danish girl exhibition. Beautiful paintings and they even have a room to try chlotes on from that time period.

The works of Carl Milles showcased at his former residence. If you are an art enthusiast, this place is not to be missed. Indoor and outdoor museum with many areas to simply stop and relax throughout. The collection is incredible. Nice museum shop and lunch spot with authentic Swedish menu here too.

Millesgarden is a lovely park whose terraces are filled with magnificent Carl Milles' sculptures. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Located on the island Lidingö you'll find Millesgården. Beautiful sculptures and a very interesting view over Stockholm, and much more. Bring a book and enjoy the tranquil environment. The current Elsa Wegener exhibition is great. They give guided tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays that I'd recommend, that is, if you understand Swedish.

This special space occupies an elevated location of the northern cliffs of Lidingö, an island that lies to the east of the city centre, right in the Baltic Sea. Carl Milles was a daring improviser regarding landscape design. On this steep stone cliff-site he integrated such diverse architectural elements as columns from King Gustav Ill's old opera house and a... More

Have been to Stockholm many times but never to Millesgarden. We enjoyed the Tove Janssen exhibition but it's really the house and gardens that are the star attraction. It reminds me of a mix of Hearst Castle and Peggy Guggenheim's house. The sculptures in the garden are remarkable and the house beautiful. It was magical in the snow but would... More

Although you can see some of these same statues other places, for example in front of the concert house in Stockholm or at Radio City Music Hall, there is much more to this museum than the statues. Besides Milles's work, home, and collection of antiques, there is a gallery where other art is shown.

This is a beautiful small museum well worth a visit! Within the exhibition hall they do have several different exhibitions during the year! What amazed me was the beautiful statues in the garden!

Though it may be a bit of a hassle to get to using public transportation (metro to bus and, finally a short walk), it is worth every bit of effort. The sculpture is displayed in a spacious, well designed garden with a beautiful view across the waterway. In addition to the outdoor garden, there is a museum with a collection... More
